This document provides brief biographies of several early Christian figures:
1. Saint Stephen was tried for blasphemy and speaking against the temple, and was stoned to death encouraged by Saul of Tarsus, the future Saint Paul.
2. Stories of Philip the Apostle's life come more from extra-canonical writings, though it is said he was married and had children. He was martyred by being crucified upside down.
3. Jude the Apostle suffered martyrdom in Beirut along with Simon the Zealot, and their acts were recorded. His body was brought to Rome and placed in St. Peter's Basilica.

The early church experienced rapid growth from the 1st to 4th centuries despite facing persecution. Hellenism had spread Greek culture and ideas widely, including in Palestine. Between exile and 70 AD, five major Jewish sects formed including Christians. Common elements united early Christian Jews, like keeping the Sabbath. Christianity also spread due to the Roman Empire's infrastructure and Greek language. Persecution under Nero and Domitian was horrific, leading to the martyrdoms of the apostles and other early Christians like Polycarp and Ignatius. Further persecution under emperors like Septimius Severus and the edicts of Diocletian sought to destroy Christian buildings and books.
INTRODUCTION OF CHRISTIANITY IN ENGLAND AND GEORGIA.pptxultraviolence1

Christianity was introduced to England in 597 AD by Saint Augustine, who came on a mission from Rome to convert the pagan Anglo-Saxons to Christianity. Christianity first arrived in Georgia in the 1st century through missionaries such as the Apostles Simon and Andrew, but it was not until the 4th century that it became the established religion after Saint Nino's missionary efforts led King Mirian and Queen Nana to convert. Today, around 90% of Georgians identify as members of the Georgian Orthodox Church, which has played a central role in Georgian culture and identity since the country's conversion in the 4th century.

1. The document examines the historical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, focusing on the undisputed facts accepted by most scholars, including Jesus' death by crucifixion and burial, the discovery of his empty tomb, and post-resurrection appearances to his disciples and others.
2. It provides multiple lines of evidence to support the resurrection claim, including eyewitness testimony from disciples who were transformed from fearful followers to bold proclaimers of the gospel, even in the face of persecution, as well as early creeds and reports from Paul and other early Christian writers.
3. The evidence is analyzed using historical criteria for determining authenticity such as early independent sources and the inability to disprove the
The document provides a brief history and overview of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines. It details how Catholicism was introduced to the Philippines in 1521 with the arrival of Ferdinand Magellan. It established the first mass on Limasawa Island and saw over 800 Cebuanos baptized. While Magellan was later killed, Catholicism continued to spread. Today, the Philippines is the third largest Catholic nation, with beliefs including the Trinity and seven sacraments. Major Catholic festivals celebrate saints across the country. The church is organized with the Pope at its head and local dioceses overseen by bishops.
St. Paul was an apostle who vigorously spread Christianity throughout the known world at the time. He went on three missionary journeys, establishing Christian communities across places like Cyprus, Asia Minor, Greece and Rome. Some of the key communities he founded and visited included those in Philippi, where he established one of the first in Europe, Thessalonica, Athens, and Ephesus, where he stayed for three years. Through his missionary work and letters, St. Paul made major contributions to the growth and organization of the early Christian church.
The Mormon & Quaker Moons of Lancashire: Stories of Religious Conversion & Mi...Cometan
油
In 1653, a branch of the Moon family of the Fylde coast made the radical decision to join the newly-formed Religious Society of Friends. Edward Moon and his sons faced fines, harassment and imprisonment at Lancaster Castle for this decision but remained steadfast in their Quaker beliefs and close to their leader George Fox. The Moon family continued the trend of religious dissidence when another branch converted to Mormonism in 1837 and set sail for New York on 6th June 1840, becoming the first British Latter-day Saints to emigrate to America. There, the Mormon Moons endured angry mobs, witnessed the assassination of their prophet and became pioneers, eventually settling in the wasteland of the Great Salt Lake Valley in modern-day Utah.
1) San Lorenzo Ruiz was the first Filipino saint who was falsely accused of killing a Spaniard in Manila in the 1600s and sought asylum on a ship, eventually being tortured and killed in Nagasaki, Japan.
2) Pedro Calungsod was a Filipino catechist who accompanied Jesuit missionaries to Guam in 1668 and was killed along with a priest in 1672 after baptizing children against a village ruler's wishes.
3) Early Christians faced persecution in the Roman Empire if they refused to honor the emperor as a god, and were imprisoned, exiled, and martyred for their faith, with many stories of their deaths being passed down.
John Mark was an early follower of Jesus from Africa who played an important role in establishing the early Christian church. Despite initially deserting Paul on a missionary journey, he was later reconciled and went on to establish churches in Africa and help write the Gospel of Mark. Mark endured persecution for his faith and was ultimately martyred in Alexandria, cementing his legacy as a founder of Christianity in Africa.

This document provides biographical information on Saint Clement of Rome, who served as Pope from 88-99 AD. He is considered one of the first Apostolic Fathers of the Church and was said to have been consecrated by Saint Peter. As Pope, Clement asserted the authority of presbyters as rulers of the Church. His only extant writing is an epistle to the church in Corinth regarding a dispute. According to tradition, Clement was imprisoned and martyred under Emperor Trajan by being tied to an anchor and thrown into the sea. His relics are claimed by both Rome and Ukraine. Saint Clement is commemorated on November 23rd by several Christian denominations.
This document presents evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ from several historical sources. It summarizes the biblical accounts of Jesus' death, burial in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, and the discovery of the empty tomb by women on the third day. It also references early creeds and eyewitness testimony recorded in Pauline epistles that date back to within 3 years of Jesus' death. The document examines various hypotheses but finds naturalistic explanations like conspiracy theories or apparent death to be historically implausible. It concludes that the resurrection validates Jesus' claim to be the Son of God and is essential to the Christian faith.
Saint Paul took his first missionary journey over two years from approximately 45-47 AD. He traveled with Barnabas and initially John Mark, starting in Antioch and traveling through Cyprus and Asia Minor, preaching the gospel. They faced opposition from Jews but also saw many converted in Pisidian Antioch, Iconium, Lystra, and Derbe, establishing churches in Galatia. The journey covered approximately 1,235 miles on foot and by boat in dangerous conditions to spread the new faith.

Speaker: Aalok Sonawala
The SWWE Regional Network were very pleased to welcome Aalok Sonawala, Head of PMO, National Programmes, Rider Levett Bucknall on 26 February, to BAWA for our first face to face event of 2025. Aalok is a member of APMs Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APMs PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMOs within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

Blind Spots in AI and Formulation Science Knowledge Pyramid (Updated Perspect...Ajaz Hussain
油
This presentation delves into the systemic blind spots within pharmaceutical science and regulatory systems, emphasizing the significance of "inactive ingredients" and their influence on therapeutic equivalence. These blind spots, indicative of normalized systemic failures, go beyond mere chance occurrences and are ingrained deeply enough to compromise decision-making processes and erode trust.
Historical instances like the 1938 FD&C Act and the Generic Drug Scandals underscore how crisis-triggered reforms often fail to address the fundamental issues, perpetuating inefficiencies and hazards.
The narrative advocates a shift from reactive crisis management to proactive, adaptable systems prioritizing continuous enhancement. Key hurdles involve challenging outdated assumptions regarding bioavailability, inadequately funded research ventures, and the impact of vague language in regulatory frameworks.
The rise of large language models (LLMs) presents promising solutions, albeit with accompanying risks necessitating thorough validation and seamless integration.
Tackling these blind spots demands a holistic approach, embracing adaptive learning and a steadfast commitment to self-improvement. By nurturing curiosity, refining regulatory terminology, and judiciously harnessing new technologies, the pharmaceutical sector can progress towards better public health service delivery and ensure the safety, efficacy, and real-world impact of drug products.

St.Polycarp was the Greek bishop of
Smyrna and an apostolic father who was
the leading 2nd
century Christian figure in
roman asia. He was a student of St.john
and was also assumed to see the last
apostle (john). He lived from 65-155AD
4. Toward the end of his life,Polycarp visited bishop
anicetus of rome to discuss with him the date at
which the easter festival was to be celebrated. The
two men counld not reach an agreement on a
common date on which to celebrate easter, so
they agreed they should use any date of there
choice. On his return to Smyrna,Polycarp was
arrested by roman proconsul for being a Christian
for not sacrificing to the gods.
5. Proconsul ordered him to blaspheme Christ.
St.Polycarp refused and was to be burned alive.
The executioners tied his hands behind his back, after
praying the executioners set the fire, but the large
flames formed an arch, gently encircling but not
burning his body.
Officals ordered a spearsman to pierce him. Such a
quantity of blood flowed from his left side that it put
out the fire.
