Humana People to People is an international development organization working in 42 countries across multiple sectors to address issues like poverty, lack of access to education, healthcare and clean water. The organization was founded in Denmark in 1977 and has grown to include 34 member associations implementing over 320 projects that benefit more than 5.6 million people worldwide. Their work includes teacher training, schools, vocational programs, healthcare initiatives and more with the goal of empowering communities and improving lives.

More than 800 million go hungry each day ONE person in SEVEN has no access to clean water for drinking, cooking or washing.

Humana People to People Africa today Today, the continent is still in transition, with a large number of social and economic challenges, including unemployment, low agricultural production, and limited infrastructure and social services. Due to these and many other problems the majority of the African countries are still considered among the poorest in the world. Low income and high prevalence of HIV / AIDS combined with frequent floods and drought contribute to the difficulties the African continent is currently facing.
