The International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) is an international non-profit student-run organization founded in 1998 with a permanent secretariat located in Ljubljana, Slovenia since 2003. IAPSS currently has 75 member associations representing approximately 10,000 political science students across 50 countries. Its core values are intercultural exchange, academic development, and establishing an international network to facilitate knowledge exchange and professional development for students.

- 7. - IAPSS General Assembly voted every year for a Local Association Member to take over the Executive Committee ( Leiden, Oslo, Debrecen,Rome,Bucharest, Ljubljana, Cluj Napoca- Marburg). The IAPSS Executive Comittee 1999 contacted IPSA Executive Committee . IAPSS ExCom participate in Quebec 2000 and Durban 2003. Politikon Journal was founded in 2001. The General Assembly 2003 in Ljubljana decided the establishment of a permanent seat and secretariat in Ljubljana. Elaboration of Strategic Plan 2004-2008 : Sustainability of permanent seat , Elaboration of Regional Centers Policy, Internal Organization by Depmartments and Programs. IAPSS in Brief 1998-2003

IAPSS evolved from a loose network to an Association with a permanent secretariat in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where the IAPSS Executive Committee is working on a daily basis to initiate and coordinate projects and activities on the local, regional and international levels. Development of IAPSS Partnerships : UNESCO , EU Commission, CoE. 1st IAPSS Annual Academic Conference in 2006. IAPSS ExCom participation in Fukuoka 2006 . Establishment of Regional Centers since 2007. 12th IAPSS AC&GA Resolution : Relocation of IAPSS Permanent Seat in Amsterdam , the Netherlands. IAPSS in Brief 2004.2009
- 9. General Assembly (GA):油 consisting of delegates of the association members and held once a year is IAPSS main decision-making body . Executive Committee (ExCom) : which has the decisional power between two meetings of the GA and coordinates the executive structure of IAPSS. The executive structure consists of departments. Supervisory committee (Supcom): supervises the activity of the ExCom.油 The Disciplinary Commission (Discom): deals with matters connected to the way the statute is being observed . 油 油 Regional Centres:油 IAPSS Latin American Regional Centre , IAPSS Western Balkan Regional Centre ,IAPSS Eurasian Regional Centre油 IAPSS Basic Structure
