CV for Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu
Mr. Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu (born 3rd March, 1992) is a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural
Economics and Agribusiness student at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in Morogoro –
Tanzania. Although he is a university student in second year at SUA, he is more known for his
involvement in youth associations in Tanzania and at the international level, thus activist,
volunteer, advocate, leader, diplomat and entrepreneur who is eager and committed in youth
issues related to sustainable development.
Mr. Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu, attended and represented Tanzania in the 1st African Youth
Conference on Energy and Climate Change held on August 20-21,2015 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
under the theme: “INCLUSION OF YOUTH VOICE IN COP21 AND BEYOND FOR
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” .
From 26th to 28th April this year 2015, he attended Tanzania International Model of United
Nations (TIMUN 2015) conference conducted in Dodoma at Pius Msekwa Hall (Parliament
House) where he represented China in the General Assembly as a DELEGATE regarding
Agriculture and Climate change.
Moreover, he is following different researches via https://suanet.academia.edu related to
Economics, Agricultural value chain development in Agribusiness Sectors, energy and climate
change issues.
He had attended and actively participated in the Global Enterprise Summit conducted at Dar es
Salaam in 2015 with the theme: “GLOBAL UNEMPLOYMENT, CHALLENGES AND
REMEDIES”
Mr. Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu has held different positions including; Chairperson of UN
CHAPTER at SUA from 2015 to 2016 (Currently), he was an assistant Secretary of Lyamungo
Peace Project in Lyamungo High School (LPP) from 2012 to 2013, active member of Youth of
United Nations of Tanzania; UN CLUBS TANZANIA NETWORK (UNCTN) from 2011 to
February 2013, and an active member participated in the Anti-Corruption Club (PCCB) from
2011 to 2013
In Ordinary Level, Mr. Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu has held different leadership positions including
Academic prefect from 2009 to 2010, economic projects prefect from 2008 to 2009, and Store
keeper in 2007 at Chanjagaa secondary school.
In primary level, Mr. Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu has held different pupils leadership positions
including Environmental prefect from 2005 to 2006 and Class monitor in various years at
Kweresha primary school.
