A computer is an electronic device that can accept input data, process data, store data, and produce output according to instructions. It consists of input devices like keyboards and mice to enter data, output devices like monitors to display or print output, a central processing unit to perform calculations and control functions, and storage devices like hard drives and memory to permanently or temporarily hold data. Charles Babbage is considered the father of modern computers, having designed early mechanical computers in the 1800s to perform basic arithmetic functions.

5. In put device
An input device is any hardware device that
sends data to a computer, allowing you to interact
with and control it. ... The most commonly used
or primary input devices on a computer are the
keyboard and mouse.
7. An output device is any device
used to send data from a computer
to another device or user.

8. Central Processing Unit (CPU)
The central processing unit (CPU) is
the unit which performs most of the
processing inside a computer. To
control instructions and data flow to
and from other parts of the computer,
the CPU relies heavily on a chipset,
which is a group of microchips located
on the motherboard.
9. storage device
A storage device refers to a computing
hardware used to store information permanently
or temporarily. The device can be external or
internal to a computer, server, and other
computing systems. Storage devices are also
known as storage medias or storage medium.
There are two types of storage device:
secondary storage device and primary storage
device.
10. Secondary storage device
A secondary storage device has a
larger storage capacity and can store
data permanently. The device can be
both external and internal to a
computer and includes; compact disk,
USB drive, hard disk, etc.
Primary storage device
A primary storage device is quite smaller in
size and it¡¯s designed to capture or hold
data for a temporary period. Most primary
storage devices are found inside the
computer, and they have the fastest access
to data. Examples of Primary devices
include Cache memory and RAM.
