IEEE CIS Chapter
? Chapter activities may include guest speakers,
workshops, and seminars as well as social functions;
? Chapters provide valuable opportunities to network at a
local level, enabling their personal and professional

? Established by petition of at least 12 IEEE CIS members
? Can be initiated by a Member or a Graduate Student
Member
? Multiple Societies (e.g. CIS/CS) in one Chapter

Financial Support
? US$200 for each chapter meeting minimum
requirements:
– Maintain a membership of not fewer than ten
(10) members other than students
– Hold and report not less than two meetings in
the technical category per year.
? All chapters reporting 6+ meetings of a
technical nature shall receive an additional
US$75.
