OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE SERVICES
Our Operations & Compliance team consists of oil & gas professionals with up to 30 + years of

Inactive Well Compliance Programs
CHATAV offers a complete management program that ensures compliance with suspended well
requirements. This program includes the coordination and completion of on-site field
inspections, maintenance as required, well classification and online submissions.
DEVELOPING AND CONFIRMING THE INACTIVE WELL LIST WITH ASSOCIATED PIPELINES
 Develop an inventory of inactive wells by reviewing and comparing inactive well lists on
file with the regulator and client.
 Confirm the list of active and inactive wells along with associated pipeline status.
 Complete annual reviews of inactive well inventory to ensure accuaracy.
RISK RANKING OF ALL INACTIVE WELLS
 Confirm suspended well classifications.
 Collect and confirm all data from the regulator.
 Review well files, if necessary, to confirm data discrepancies.
 The latest Absolute Open Flow (AOF) test is required for all gas wells.
ON SITE FIELD INSPECTIONS
 Provide detailed pictures of all inspected locations including pictures identifying all
deficiencies identified.
 A site specific, detailed inspection form is provided identifying all regulatory
requirements reviewed during the inspections. Instances of non-compliance are
highlighted in the corrective action summary reports.
 Minor repairs may be completed during the time of inspection when requested.
QA/QC PROCESS
 All inspection forms and pictures subject to a quality assurance and control process will
be QA/QC’d.
 A deficiency list and/or corrective action summary is completed for each site.
 When required, self-disclosure letters identifying deficiencies and corrective action
plans are provided and can be submitted to the regulator.
 Submission of inspection results submitted to the regulator.
 Updates to Inactive Well Compliance Program with the next required inspection dates.
FINAL REPORT
 A final report including the list of inspected wells, all inspection results and pictures,
deficiency reports and, when required, self-disclosure letters is provided electronically.

The Liability Management Rating (LMR) is a very important factor when it comes to acquiring or
divesting a property. If the LMR of a potential acquisition is below 1.0, a bond is often required
to be posted with the regulator along with the application to transfer the assets.
