Jobu's Place bar underwent construction over several weeks. Volunteers worked to form and pour concrete bar tops weighing over 250 pounds, set up lighting by embedding glass rounds in aluminum tubes, and add decorative bamboo elements like snack trays. Upon completion, the bar featured LED lights underneath the concrete tops and was ready to serve customers in tribute to Jobu.

- 1. “Jobu?s Place” - Simple beginnings
- 2. We really do have a plan! (Jobu will guide us)
- 3. See – the plan is taking shape
- 4. Switching gears – forming the concrete bar tops. Rebar and special effects lighting
- 5. These are the lights – melted glass rounds glued to aluminum tubes set in the forms. Concrete was poured around them.
- 6. The only way to dry fresh-cut bamboo. Put it on the roof and listen to it pop and crack!
- 7. Work continues on the bar. Setting the supports for the heavy bar tops. The long one weighed over 250 pounds!
- 8. Time for bamboo. Cut, split, drill, nail, repeat.

- 19. Finally got rid of the pre-opening crowd. Back to work on the roof.
