 Charlie
 was

 excellent

 two
 of

 (Integrated

 class)
 during

the
 2015-‐2016
 school
 year.
 As
 a
 professor,
 I
 come
 in

 hundreds

 and
 Charlie

is
 one
 of
 those
 special

Charlie

 Both
 courses
 were

 he

 He

 solid

 communication
 skills.

He
 has
 a
 rare
 combination
 of
 being
 both
 confident
 and
 humble.
 I
 say
 this
 because
 students
 often

find
 my
 classes
 difficult
 and
 describe
 me
 as
 a
 “tough”
 grader.
 Of

 I

 for
 the

 When
 Charlie

 he
 very

 it

acquiring

 This
 approach
 is
 sadly
 a
 rare

thing
 to

 in

 in
 my
 experience.
 Additionally,
 Charlie
 is
 a
 very

 the
 peer
 evaluations
 indicate
 that
 he
 was
 a
 strong
 leader
 and
 very
 well

liked
 in
 his
 team
 projects.
 The
 things

 about
 Charlie
 are
 his
 positive,
 friendly

attitude
 and
 his
 dedication
 to
 improving
 his
 skills
 and

 work.

I
 imagine
 that
 Charlie
 will
 find
 great
 success
 in
 whatever
 career
 he
 choses
 to
 pursue
 and
 highly

Charlie was an excellent student in two of my courses (Integrated Marketing Communications and People & Money, which is a psychological and behavioral pricing class) during the 2015-‐2016 school year. As a professor, I come in contact with hundreds of students and Charlie is one of those special students who is remembered long after the course is over. Charlie was a delight to have as a student. Both courses were discussion-‐based and he was an avid and meaningful contributor. He is a strong communicator verbally in class and also has strong presentation skills, far above the average student. He also has solid written communication skills. He has a rare combination of being both confident and humble. I say this because students often find my classes difficult and describe me as a “tough” grader. Of course, I have very high expectations for the students and like to set a high bar so that they strive to achieve. When Charlie wasn’t satisfied with the score that he received, he very respectfully and genuinely asked for help in improving and when given more feedback he applied it and consistently improved through acquiring new skills and pushing himself to deliver excellent work. This approach is sadly a rare thing to observe in undergraduate students in my experience. Additionally, Charlie is a very friendly, likeable person and the peer evaluations indicate that he was a strong leader and very well liked in his team projects. The things I remember most about Charlie are his positive, friendly attitude and his dedication to improving his skills and delivering excellent work. I imagine that Charlie will find great success in whatever career he choses to pursue and highly recommend him as a potential employee. I’d be happy to talk more about Charlie -‐ please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like any more information. Thank you for your time and for considering this stellar candidate. Best regards, Catherine Armstrong Soule, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Marketing Western Washington University
