It has now shifted to using Microsoft SharePoint, which started in 2013 and was fully implemented by 2015. As of 2015, the company reported net revenues of $31.0 billion, with more than 368,000 employees serving clients in more than 200 cities in 120 countries
- 3. INITIAL KM STRATEGY Accenture initially used IBM lotus notes for knowledge management Their Knowledge Management Strategy was to encapsulate value from knowledge to enhance their revenue, reduce the costs and promote innovation
- 4. USE OF LOTUS NOTES Every business unit , every domain, every DU and every project had there own database And all these databases were linked to one centralized one The project details were shared to client through these lotus notes And internal details were maintained through lotus notes
- 5. ISSUES WITH LOTUS NOTES Highly unfriendly Only specific jobs can be done by lotus notes Too many portals were created and it was difficult to manage all as one. It caused too many issues and lot of manpower was occupied in its maintenance Management of content was difficult as there was a limit on what kind of data could be shared by lotus notes

CURRENT KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT Accenture shifted to Microsoft sharepoint from lotus notes The change to sharepoint started in the year 2013 and by the year 2015 end lotus notes were completely out of Accenture Accentures future plan is to use sharepoints features to full use and move different portals to sharepoint

ADVANTAGES OF SHAREPOINT It provides improved search and browse features, like a simple explorer and hence a simple experience to the user It has a common server and a single data entry point so will simplify management of various contents It made data handling easy There were multiple utilities of Microsoft sharepoint All the details were shared on sharepoint and only limited access was given to required people
