How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
油
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying its good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation thats least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state theyre comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
油
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray

1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Ka邸t迭 slygos Viena svarbiausi迭 tarptautini迭 main迭 prielaida yra gamybos slyg迭 skirtingumas: skirtingos slygos lemia gamybos ka邸t迭 ir tuo paiu, preki迭 kain迭 skirtumus. ios slygos gali b笛ti labai 眺vairios, pvz. socialins, kult笛rins, specializacijos, gamtins, klimatins, i邸tekli迭 apr笛pinimo ir pan. Vykstant tarptautiniams mainams 邸alys apr笛pina viena kit tomis prekmis, kuri迭 gamyba 邸alyje yra palyginti pigi. Kita tarptautins prekybos prielaida tai skirtingas visuomeninio darbo na邸umo lygis . alys importuoja tokias paslaugas ir prekes, kuri迭 gamyba 邸alyje b笛t迭 brangesn, nei j迭 眺sigijimas pasaulinje rinkoje.
7. Hek邸erio-Olino (Hechscher-Ohlin) teorinis modelis (1) Pagal Hek邸erioOlino teorij, 邸alys stengsis eksportuoti prekes, reikalaujanias gana dideli迭 savo gamybos faktoriaus snaud迭, kurios naudojamos esant santykiniams pertekliui, ir nedideli迭 deficitinio faktoriaus snaud迭, mainais 眺 tas prekes, naudojamas atvirk邸tinje veiksni迭 proporcijoje. Tokiu b笛du, u転daru pavidalu yra eksportuojami pertekliniai faktoriai ir importuojami deficitiniai veiksniai, t.y. preki迭 judjimas i邸 vienos 邸alies 眺 kit kompensuoja 転em gamybos veiksni迭 mobilum pasaulinio 笛kio mastu.
8. Hek邸erio-Olino (Hechscher-Ohlin) teorinis modelis ( 2) B笛tina pabr転ti, kad ia kalba eina ne apie 邸ali迭 turim gamybos i邸tekli迭 kiek眺, o apie santykin眺 apsir笛pinim jais. Jeigu duotoje 邸alyje kokio nors santykinio gamybos i邸teklio daugiau, nei kitose 邸alyse, tai jo kaina bus 転emesn. Vadinasi, ir santykin to produkto kaina, kurio gamyboje 邸is pigus i邸teklius labiau naudojamas, bus ma転esn nei kitose 邸alyse.
9. Leontjevo paradoksas 町転ymus amerikiei迭 ekonomistas Vasilijus Leontjevas XX a. viduryje atliko pagrindin Hek邸erioOlino teorijos i邸vados empirin眺 patikrinim ir padar paradoksali i邸vad. Panaudojs tarp邸akin眺 balanso model眺 snaudos gamyba, paremt 1947 JAV ekonomikos duomenimis, V.Leontjevas parod, kad amerikiei迭 eksportui buvo reikalingos daug daugiau darbo reikalaujanios preks, o importuojant kapitalo. Taiau V. Leontjevas nustat, kad tam tikrais laikotarpiais buvo prie邸ingai. is rei邸kinys da転nai vadinamas Leontjevo paradoksu . i paradoks galima paai邸kinti tuo, kad Hechlerio- Ohlino teorija daro klaiding prielaid apie gamybos veiksni迭 vienodum. Atlikus 邸ios teorijos pakeitimus ir nagrinjant darbo jg ne kaip vienod prek, o suskirstyt 眺 kategorijas, galima matyti, kad i邸sivysiusios 邸alys turi didel眺 auk邸tos kvalifikacijos darbo i邸tekli迭 pertekli迭, palyginus su kit迭 r笛邸i迭 darbo i邸tekliais. Be to produkcija gali b笛ti gaminama skirtingais metodais.
10. alies dyd転io teorija i teorija, skirtingai nei ankstesns, paai邸kina 邸ali迭 skirtumus susijusius su gamybine specializacija. Didelms valstybms yra b笛dingi 邸ie bruo転ai: i邸tekli迭 眺vairov . i teorija teigia, kad didelio ploto 邸alims b笛dinga klimatini迭 slyg迭 ir gamtini迭 i邸tekli迭 眺vairov, o tai padeda 邸alims geriau apsir笛pinti ekonominiu po転i笛riu. transportavimo i邸laidos . Kuo didesnis atstumas, tuo didesns transportavimo i邸laidos. B笛tent transportavimo i邸laidos skatina ma転as valstybes dalyvauti tarptautinje prekyboje. (Pvz. Olandijoje gamybiniai pajgumai i邸dstyti 100 myli迭 nuo sienos atstumu, tuo tarpu JAV didel dalis gamybini迭 pajgum迭 nuo sien迭 nutol daugiau kaip 100 myli迭. gamybos masto efektas . I邸vystytos ekonomikos 邸alys vis迭 pirma gamins prekes, kuri迭 gamyboje naudojamos pa転angios technologijos. ios technologijos reikalauja auk邸tos kvalifikacijos darbo jgos, o produkcija yra konkurencinga u転sienio rinkose.
Antidempingo muitai yra viena i邸 keleto prekybins apsaugos priemoni迭, kurias, esant apibr転toms slygoms, leid転ia taikyti Pasaulio prekybos organizacijos (PPO) nuostatos.
12. Netarifiniai apribojimai tai administracinis prekybos reguliavimas, kai ekonominiai metodai nepakankamai efektyv笛s. Da転nai pirmenyb teikiama netarifini迭 apribojim迭 metodams, kadangi jie laikomi politi邸kai priimtinesniais ir nra mokesi迭 na邸ta vartotojams. Kiekybiniai apribojimai, koordinuojantys tam tikr迭 preki迭 prekyb, gali b笛ti 眺vesti vyriausybs nutarimu viena邸ali邸kai arba tarptautiniais susitarimais. Kiekybiniai netarifiniai apribojimai b笛t迭 kvotos, savanori邸ki eksporto suvar転ymai, licencijos. Eksporto kvotos 邸alyje 眺vedamos, suderinus su tarptautiniais stabilizaciniais susitarimais, nustataniais kiekvienos 邸alies eksporto dal眺 konkreiam produktui, arba siekiant sulaikyti deficitini迭 vidaus rinkos preki迭 i邸ve転im.
13. Savanori邸ki eksporto suvar転ymai tai kiekybiniai eksporto apribojimai, paremti vieno i邸 partneri迭 眺sipareigojimu apriboti prekyb arba neplsti eksporto apimties. ie vyriausybs apribojimai 眺vedami paprastai dl politinio spaudimo daug didesns importuojanios 邸alies, kuri grasina viena邸ali邸k迭 apribojimo priemoni迭 importui 眺vedimu atsisakymo savanori邸kai apriboti eksport, kai 邸is nuostolingas jos vietiniams gyventojams. Savanori邸ki eksporto suvar転ymai yra santykinai nauja administracin netarifin priemon, nukreipta 邸alies padiai rinkoje gerinti, taiau jos pana邸笛s rezultatai kaip ir kvotos: ma転ja importas, didja importo kainos. Licencijos vienas i邸 importo kvot迭 mechanizmo 眺gyvendinimo instrument迭, taiau jos gali b笛ti savaranki邸kas tarptautins prekybos ribojimo barjeras. Eksportuotojas licencij preki迭 importui gauna, pateiks specialioms valstybinms tarnyboms parai邸k, atsiunts preki迭 pavyzd転ius, atitinkamus dokumentus ir sertifikatus. Taigi licencij迭 kaip importo ribojimo priemons vaidmuo pasirei邸kia ne tik tuo, jog jos gali b笛ti nei邸duotos; jos turi ir kit, netiesiogin眺 poveik眺: atbaido nema転ai importuotoj迭 dl papildom迭 ka邸t迭, gai邸tamo laiko ir netikrumo elemento, kuris taip pat svarbus u転sienio prekyboje.
14. Paslptieji netarifiniai apribojimai tai tarptautins prekybos netarifini迭 reguliavimo priemoni迭 metodai, pagr眺sti 眺vairiais ne muito tipo apribojimais, inicijuojamais 邸alies vyriausybs ir netgi vietins vald転ios organ迭. Daugelis paslpt迭 netarifini迭 apribojim迭 pa転eid転ia tarptautins prekybos principus. 町vairiais duomenimis, yra keli 邸imtai paslpt迭j迭 netarifini迭 apribojim迭 r笛邸i迭. I邸skiriamos 邸ios pagrindins apribojim迭 r笛邸ys: techniniai standartai ir kiti reglamentai, valstybiniai pirkimai, vietins gamybos slygos. Siekiant apsaugoti vidaus rink nuo importo i邸 u転sienio, drauge su kiekybiniais ir u転slptais netarifiniais prekybos politikos metodais naudojami finansiniai netarifiniai apribojimai. Jie paremti eksporto finansavimu, siekiant suma転inti eksportuojam迭 preki迭 kainas ir padidinti vietins gamybos preki迭 konkurencingum tarptautinje rinkoje.
15. Eksporto subsidijos tai finansinis netarifins prekybos politikos metodas, numatantis biud転etines i邸mokas nacionaliniams eksportuotojams, kai leid転iama pardavinti prek kit迭 邸ali迭 pirkjams daug 転emesne kaina nei vidaus rinkoje ir kartu gerinti eksport. Eksporto subsidijos yra dvejopos: tiesiogins ir netiesiogins. Eksporto kreditavimas finansinis netarifinis tarptautins prekybos politikos metodas, numatantis vyriausybs finansin眺 stimuliavim, norint vystyti eksport, pasitelkus nacionalines firmas.
16. Privalomieji reikalavimai 眺 ES 邸alis importuojamoms prekms Privalomuosius techninius reikalavimus produktams nustato ES direktyvos. ie reikalavimai yra privalomi ir i邸 trei迭j迭 邸ali迭 importuojamoms prekms.
17. Lietuvos prekybos su ES pokyiai S varbiausi Lietuvos prekybos partneriai 2006 m. (i 邸skirtinai ES 邸alys): eksporto partneriai - Latvija (11,1 proc.), Vokietija (8,7 proc.) ir Estija (6,5 proc.), importo partneriai - Vokietija (14,8 proc.), Lenkija (9,6 proc.) ir Latvija (4,8 proc.).
22. Trumpos i邸vados apie kiekvien 邸al眺: Vokietija: i邸 pateikt迭 duomen迭 matome, kad u転sienio prekybai su Vokietija Lietuvos naryst ES turjo dvigub efekt: i邸augo eksportas, taiau dar labiau i邸augo importas, kas slygojo vis didesn眺 neigiam prekybos su 邸ia 邸alimi balans. Taiau dl toki迭 pasekmi迭 negalima kaltinti vien narysts ES ir to slygot迭 veiksni迭 (kaip bendra rinka, laisvesns prekybos slygos), nes tokia prekybos su Vokietija balanso tendencija buvo akivaizdi jau nuo 2000 met 迭, t.y. dar ne眺sigaliojus bendrajai rinkai.
23. Latvija yra viena i邸 keleto ES 邸ali迭, su kuria Lietuva turi teigiam prekybos balans. Pana邸ios tendencijos i邸liks ir ateityje.
24. I邸vados ( 1) Tarptautins prekybos atsiradimo prielaidas apib笛dina skirtingos tarptautins prekybos teorijos. Kiekviena teorija skirtingai ai邸kina valstybs vaidmen眺 prekiaujant prekmis ir paslaugomis tarptautiniu mastu. I邸skiriamos 邸ios tarptautins prekybos politikos priemons: mokestins ir nemokestins. Pagrindinis dokumentas, kuriame apibr転iama ES bendroji u転sienio prekybos politika yra Europos Bendrijos steigimo sutartis.
25. I 邸vados ( 2) Lietuva, tapdama ES nare, 眺sipareigoja laikytis visoms ES narms taikom迭 tarif迭 ir reikalavim迭 bei paskelbti negaliojaniomis iki tol sudarytas laisvosios prekybos sutartis. 町stojimas 眺 ES tarptautins prekybos at転vilgiu nevienareik邸mi邸kas atsivrus bendrajai rinkai didja produkcijos realizavimo galimybs, taiau didja ir konkurencija bei reikalavimai produkcijai. Taip pat didja importas i邸 kit迭 邸ali迭. Lietuvos u転sienio balansas lieka neigiamas
