I am pleased to announce the following appointments within the National Call Centre
team.
User Acceptance Testing Supervisor
Vanessa Codner has accepted a 6 month secondment as User Acceptance Testing
Supervisor. Reporting to Helen Wickens, Vanessa will assist the ANUBIS POS
Household Project Team in supervising the UAT component in the development of
Anubis POS Householders.
Vanessa was a natural choice for this role. Over the past six and a half years with
Western QBE, Vanessa has gained an extensive working knowledge of systems such as
Anubis POS Motor, Anubis and SAM within the call centre environment. Vanessa's
thorough knowledge of these systems will assist the project team to gain a better
understanding of how proposed system changes and improvements, will affect actual
end users.
I have no doubt that Vanessa will be successful in her new role, and will add quality to
the final Anubis POS Householders design for the Direct Distribution team.
Acting Supervisor
To provide the ongoing assistance and supervisory support within the national call
centre team, Elizabeth Wollaston has been appointed Acting Supervisor - based in
Perth.
Liz has already proven to provide valuable support in her most recent role as a Team
Leader. Liz has shown a strong ability to assist in the development and support of the
call centre team, and has proven that she can accept any additional responsibility with
ease.
Liz has also personally achieved great success in her own personal sales results, and
will now have even more opportunity to develop others to achieve the same.
Acting Team Leader Appointments
The above appointments have also provided the opportunity for additional team
members to also step up to increased responsibilities. Both Chris Jones and Laura
Downey have been successful in their application for Acting Team Leader roles based in
our Perth team.
Prior to joining Western QBE as an Insurance Specialist, Chris worked in the retail
environment where he gained valuable leadership skills. Chris's experience in leading a
successful retail sales team, will certainly assist the national call centre team achieve all
its objectives.
Laura will also provide valuable assistance in her newly appointed role. Laura has been
extremely successful in her own personal results in all aspects ranging from call
handling, conversions to sales. Laura will also be able to apply her skills and knowledge
gained from her studies outside of the workplace. Laura has completed a Diploma of
Management.
We have also been able to provide opportunity for an additional team leader in our
Parramatta team. I am pleased to advise that Amira Hamdash has successfully gained
the role of Acting Team Leader.
Since joining Western QBE, Amira has certainly made a positive impact within the
national call centre team. Amira has exceptional customer service and problem solving
skills. Because of this, Amira is regularly utilised with the development of new recruits
and has also previously assisted with Anubis POS user acceptance testing. Amira has
also shown that she is dedicated to developing her career, having already completed
Cert III, is now completing Cert IV in Customer Contact.
I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating all the above team members. It's fantastic
that the Direct Distribution team is able to promote our team from within, and provide
ongoing career opportunities.

  • 1. I am pleased to announce the following appointments within the National Call Centre team.
