As former Subsidy Manager for the EOB Community Action Partnership, Family Development Division, I am happy to say that Leah worked in my department as Child Care Specialist I and II, for several years. She performed her duties with diligence and dedication. As Child Care Specialist I, Leah was responsible for processing clients and qualifying them for program services. Her job responsibilities included evaluating documentation provided by clients and inputting data into the computer. She was required to calculate a complex formula for estimating monthly income on a regular basis. The process required verbal and written communication skills, evaluating and assessing primary documentation, data entry into multiple screens, and researching client data using the Nevada State Welfare computer data base, which requires security clearance. After a year of working as Child Care Specialist I, Leah was promoted to Child Care Specialist II. She was responsible to reviewing and evaluating staff files, and fraud investigation and recovery. The position requires the ability to apply detailed analysis of policy and procedures, investigation skills and the ability to make recommendations and improvements to internal auditing practices. Leah adapted well to both positions and I would highly recommend her for any position that she applies for. She takes a keen interest in her job responsibilities and is dedicated to performing well. She possesses excellent analytical skills, as well as computer and communication skills. Leah is dedicated to policy clarification and applying procedures fairly and consistently to all aspect of her job. I am confident she will be an asset to any organization.
