Review:
Last time, we have discussed your routines and feelings during the past few months of pandemic. Today, we shall
focus on how to calm down and appreciating one’s emotions and thoughts by doing the following activities.

Analysis
Emotional awareness helps us know what we need and want. It helps us build better relationships. That’s
because being aware of our emotions can help us talk about feelings more clearly, avoid or resolve
conflicts better, and move past difficult feelings easily.
Some emotions feel positive, like feeling happy, loving ,confident, inspired, cheerful, interested, grateful or
included. Other emotions can seem more negative-like feeling angry, resentful, afraid, ashamed, guilty, sad
or worried. Both positive and negative emotions are normal. Emotional awareness simply means
recognizing , respecting, and accepting your feelings as they happen. Just like anything else in life, when it
comes to emotions, practice makes perfect! Remind yourself there are no good or bad emotions. Don’t
judge your feelings- just keep noticing and naming them. Be appreciative.

Today, we shall focus on how to calm down and appreciating one’s emotions and thoughts by doing the following activities. SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL ART CHOICE BOARD Draw a picture of a time when you Helped someone Build your Dream school Draw a picture of what you love most about yourself Draw a Map of what your feelings looked like today? Make a worry Doll to whisper your worries to Write or draw your top 5 wishes. Draw a picture of something you want to change in the world Invent your own Question Write or draw messages of kindness your neighbors Draw yourself as a super hero what super powers do you want most right now? Draw something that’s hard. Keep trying even when it gets Challenging Create a comic strip that shows a day in the life of remote learning (Module) How do you feel right now? Make an artwork of colors and images that come to mind.
  • 2. Analysis Emotional awareness helps us know what we need and want. It helps us build better relationships. That’s because being aware of our emotions can help us talk about feelings more clearly, avoid or resolve conflicts better, and move past difficult feelings easily. Some emotions feel positive, like feeling happy, loving ,confident, inspired, cheerful, interested, grateful or included. Other emotions can seem more negative-like feeling angry, resentful, afraid, ashamed, guilty, sad or worried. Both positive and negative emotions are normal. Emotional awareness simply means recognizing , respecting, and accepting your feelings as they happen. Just like anything else in life, when it comes to emotions, practice makes perfect! Remind yourself there are no good or bad emotions. Don’t judge your feelings- just keep noticing and naming them. Be appreciative.
