Good working knowledge of all electrical equipment commonly used in the oil drilling industry. For example: SCR power systems, VFD power system, PLC, AC generators and controls up to 600 Volts, Top-Drives, AC motors, DC motors, Hydraulic and pneumatic Controllers, electrical subsystems for lighting and power distribution, Baylor Brake, Wichita Brake and controllers, etc. Troubleshooting repair and maintenance of the above mentioned equipment as well as a variety of related equipment 2-Participates in preparing the section budget and the execution of major overhauls, spare parts control, specific repairs and trouble-shooting whenever necessary. 3-Plans and supervises the maintenance, repairs, installations, testing and calibrations for wide range of electrical equipments and power generation and distribution systems. 4-Worked on many types of equipments: SCR power drive systems ( Ross hill, IDM, GE and NOV), Caterpillar engine-generator sets ( 3406, 3456, C18, D398, D399, 3512 and 3512B), Top drives (Hydraulic, DC and AC top drives from many manufacturer TESCO, CANRIG Varco and NOV), PLC control systems (SEIMENS and ALLEN BRADELY) and mud volume monitoring systems ( Mud watch, Rig sense, EDR and ID3). 5-Have Extensive knowledge of all electrical equipments and tests associated with the electrical maintenance of the drilling rigs.
