December 8 - 11 - Monterey, California Hyatt Resort and Spa
Monterey County has a long history in agriculture dating back thousands of years. Local Ohlone tribes
gathered food along the Salinas River valley. Today the area is on the forefront of food safety stan-
dards as well as seed and harvesting technology development.
With a variety of microclimates, over 250 different commodities are grown in the valley. Two tours
will examine some of these crops as well as a sampling of the local wine. There will be a unique spin on
the tours everyone will be given the chance to see all of the tours stops over the two full days of tours.
