- 2. An over look at Navratri One of the renown and the greatest of all Hindu fairs, Durga festival witnesses the largest religious gathering in the history of the kolkata every year. Entire City flock around pandals to visit & celebrate the pandal in a span of 9 days(Panchami to Navami). A festival which pulls the entire city. Visitors also come from other states as well. Durga Puja is the one of the most famous festival celebrated in India, in honor of Goddess Durga during the period of Navratri. It is celebrated for 10 days, however starting from the first day till the ninth day, From Panchami the Pandals with grand idols of Goddess Durga that are open for visitors. The tenth day, also known as Dashami marks the Visarjan (immersion in water) of the idol with grand celebrations and processions. This year, Durga Puja 2022 begins on September 26th and goes on till October 4th.

This year the Durga Festival is from 25th September to 4th October 2022. The Crowd comes from Panchami to Navami( 26th of September - 4th of October) Between 2pm-10pm crowed counting by W.B. Police is 10-15 lacs approx. & 10pm-6am its comes to 25-40 lacs ( Kolkata ) Famous Puja Pandals Crowed counting hourly basis-10,000-80,000
