The document describes the process of designing the front cover, contents page, and a double page spread for a magazine. Key steps included blowing up an image on the cover to hide the background, adding a red outline and barcode to the masthead, and manipulating images to look more "vampire-like" or give a professional look. The final cover included additional information like "Win something" to entice readers. The contents page listed artists and included photos. The double page spread positioned interview text on one page with a related manipulated image on the other.
The document summarizes the key conventions of a pop magazine, including a masthead on the front cover listing the magazine title, date, issue number, and price. The cover also typically includes cover lines highlighting the main cover story, as well as a large main image related to the cover story. Inside the magazine, common elements are a masthead similar to the front, page numbers, section headings, images and articles about fashion and celebrities, and competitions or offers for readers.
To complete his coursework on time, the student has created an action plan with specific deadlines. By mid-October, he plans to finish all ancillary tasks so he can plan his main task and begin filming during the October half term. He will also work on the coursework in his spare time outside of college to meet the final deadline. His action plan lists dates for completing tasks like designing a questionnaire, photo shoots, and creating CD covers and posters throughout September. He will analyze feedback and drafts, edit images, and finalize his ancillary work before using the October half term to plan filming for his main task.
The document discusses several topics related to oil, stock, and renewable energy markets:
1) Crude oil prices are near an eight-week high and Sinopec has discovered new reserves in Brazil.
2) A flawed electronic trading system is blamed for a "flash crash" in the stock market.
3) The renewable energy market in the US is likely to decline without government incentives such as tax credits.
4) iPad sales are cutting into laptop sales and hurting the netbook market.

The government raised investment ceilings for government and corporate bonds, allowing $10 billion for government securities and $20 billion for corporate bonds. This will help fund infrastructure projects but hurt consumer durable growth. Ranbaxy received US approval to sell a generic drug, gaining exclusive rights for six months and standing to earn $200 million. This document discusses media conventions used in magazines. It provides examples of how the student magazine replicates conventions from VIBE magazine, such as laying out text around the model's face on the cover, using colored backgrounds to make text stand out, and including barcodes. It also discusses using different typefaces and layouts on the contents page and double-page spreads. The document then explains minor revisions made to better match the conventions of VIBE, such as enlarging the main image on the double-page spread.
Vibe magazine would be well-suited to distribute the author's media product because they used Vibe's layout and themes professionally and effectively in creating something unique. Both Vibe and the author's media product cover similar genres like hip hop and R&B, and target the same audience and social groups. Unless Vibe finds the author's media product to be unprofessional, there is no other valid reason why Vibe would not distribute it.
The mise-en-scene in the music video shows various types of people from different backgrounds coming together. Their casual clothing conveys that they are everyday people. Instruments are played by the band, showing it is a music video. A little girl on a blue chair suggests innocence. A butterfly represents observing life's simple things. Bright lighting contrasts the sad song but conveys thoughtful observation. A white background keeps purity and innocence themes while representing a blank canvas.
