The Taj Mahal is located in Agra, India and was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-1648 as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Constructed out of white marble, the Taj Mahal stands at 75 meters tall and was built on the right bank of the Yamuna River within a vast Mughal garden. It is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the world for its perfect symmetry and use of white marble.
