Annually, the NYAM gives medical students, investigators, and experienced physicians over $400,000 in fellowships and grants. Below are a few of the awards that it offers. 1. The Jeremiah A. Barondess Fellowship in ClinicalTransaction -The NYAM, in collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, established this fellowship. It offers internal medicine junior faculty a university appointment and resources to improve the skills of physicians in training.The most recent recipient of the fellowship is Reza Sedighi Manesh, MD, who is examining the application of the Human Diagnosis Project as an objective and scalable measure of clinical reasoning.

Mahoney Fellowship in Health Policy - Recipients of this fellowship, graduate nursing students, receive a $6,000 stipend to support them as they conduct summer research projects on aspects of the transformation of healthcare delivery for early childhood health and development and/or for vulnerable populations. 3. The Paul Klemperer Fellowship in the History of Medicine - This fellowship was created to support scholarly research on the history of medicine using NYAM library resources. Fellows are also required to contribute to the NYAM blog and present a seminar at the NYAM.
