Here are the key steps in a KSK double signature rollover:
1. The child publishes the new KSK alongside the existing KSK.
2. The child asks the parent to sign the new KSK.
3. Once signed by the parent, the child removes the existing KSK signature and relies solely on the new KSK signature.
The interaction between child and parent allows the parent to securely validate the new KSK. This prevents roll over without authorization.
System Manager provides centralized management of Avaya communications solutions. It simplifies operations through a single management interface and reduces costs by automating tasks. System Manager 6.3 introduces geographic redundancy which increases reliability by allowing a secondary System Manager to take over if the primary fails. It also supports application-based provisioning through web services to streamline user management.
Streaming stored video involves pre-recording videos on servers and allowing users to view them on demand. There are three main types of streaming: UDP, HTTP, and adaptive HTTP streaming. HTTP streaming is most common, storing video as HTTP files that are transmitted over TCP. This allows video to pass through firewalls more easily. Adaptive streaming divides video into multiple encoded quality levels to adapt to changing bandwidth conditions. The client measures bandwidth and selects the highest quality available. All streaming requires client-side buffering to smooth out network delays and jitter.

World Information Architecture Day 2025 - UX at a CrossroadsJoshua Randall
?
User Experience stands at a crossroads: will we live up to our potential to design a better world? or will we be co-opted by ¡°product management¡± or another business buzzword?
Looking backwards, this talk will show how UX has repeatedly failed to create a better world, drawing on industry data from Nielsen Norman Group, Baymard, MeasuringU, WebAIM, and others.
Looking forwards, this talk will argue that UX must resist hype, say no more often and collaborate less often (you read that right), and become a true profession ¡ª in order to be able to design a better world.
Formal Methods: Whence and Whither? [Martin Fr?nzle Festkolloquium, 2025]Jonathan Bowen
?
Alan Turing arguably wrote the first paper on formal methods 75 years ago. Since then, there have been claims and counterclaims about formal methods. Tool development has been slow but aided by Moore¡¯s Law with the increasing power of computers. Although formal methods are not widespread in practical usage at a heavyweight level, their influence as crept into software engineering practice to the extent that they are no longer necessarily called formal methods in their use. In addition, in areas where safety and security are important, with the increasing use of computers in such applications, formal methods are a viable way to improve the reliability of such software-based systems. Their use in hardware where a mistake can be very costly is also important. This talk explores the journey of formal methods to the present day and speculates on future directions.

2. Operating principle
Call Server is a software program that runs with LINUX. It has the configuration of each system ele-
ment. It also stores the current status of each element in memory (set, trunk, trunk group, etc.). For
example (simplified) a set may be at idle, ringing or calling. When an event occurs (set unhooked for

example), this event is sent to the Call Server by the Media Gateway. The Call Server, according to set
configuration and status, decides on the operations to be performed. In the case of an idle set being
offhooked, it can decide to send the dialing prompt tone. The order is transmitted to the Media Ga-
teway via the IP network. The Media Gateway interprets the order from the Call Server and connects
the required tone to the designated set.
This scenario is identical for all elements.
Protocols used:
- voice calls transit on IP segments using one of the following protocols: G711, G723 or G729,
- Data calls transit on IP segments by encapsulation in IP datagrams,
- FAX calls transit on IP segments either using proprietary protocol (for Alcatel equipment) or using
T38 protocol (for non Alcatel equipment).
3. Example of implementation
The term ¡°IP network¡± may cover one or more local area networks (LANs) or local networks linked via
public networks to make Wide Area Networks (WANs).

4. Hardware overview
4.1. Call Server
Call Server is a program that can run on the following supports:
- PC (Appliance server). This machine must be powerful enough to support the software and must
be able to connect to the IP network. This machine is configured and delivered by Alcatel.
- CS board, this board is installed in an OmniPCX Media Gateway. However, the CS board only
uses the power supply of this rack; all calls are made via the IP link.
Whatever the supporting hardware, the service provided by the Call Server remains identical.

4.2. OmniPCX Media Gateway
The OmniPCX Media Gateway hardware comprises an S, M or L rack, common to both the OmniPCX
Enterprise and OmniPCX Office. These racks respectively contain 3, 6 or 9 board slots. If 9 slots
are not sufficient, two extension racks (maximum) can be connected for increased capacity.
The OmniPCX Media Gateway has:
- A 220V (or 110V) AC / 48V DC power supply,
- Batteries ensuring limited autonomy (several minutes). Their purpose is to ensure that the system
can shut down correctly. For increased autonomy, a UPS and external batteries are required.
- A GD board ensuring:
? the IP link with the Call Server,
? support of the compressors/decompressors enabling voice calls with the other Media Gateways,
the IP-Phones and standard telephone resources (not IP),
? support of the voice guides, tones and 3-party conference circuits,
? the link with the rack interface boards,
? the link with the extension racks.
- Interface boards that are used to connect:
? digital or analog sets,
? DECT/IBS (or PWT) mobile phone base stations,
? links with the public or private networks,
- Possibly one or two extension racks, connected to the main rack via an extension board.
Some interface boards are common to the OmniPCX Enterprise and OmniPCX Office. Others
are specific to the OmniPCX Enterprise.

4.3. ACT Media Gateway
ACT Media Gateway hardware comprises a OmniPCX 4400 cabinet (VH rack or M2 or MI cabinet).
The purpose of the ACT Media Gateway is to support OmniPCX 4400 equipment not supported by
the OmniPCX Enterprise.
It comprises:
- one or more public or private network interface boards (for example LDTL, ATL8 ...),
- one or more auxiliary boards (for example GPA),
- one or more DECT/RBS connection boards.
The ACT Media Gateway boards used for the OmniPCX Enterprise are common to the OmniPCX
Enterprise and OmniPCX 4400.

Power supply:
ACT Media Gateways operate on 48V DC. Depending on model, these cabinets use an external power
supply or are directly connected to the mains (internal power supply). Internal or external batteries
ensure operation if there is a mains power cut.
4.4. System with no Media Gateway
There are OmniPCX Enterprise systems with no Media Gateway. In this case, the PCX only comprises
elements connected directly to the IP network. That is to say:
- a Call Server,
- IP-Phone sets,
- one (or more) IP routers to reach remote networks (public or private),
- possibly, asynchronous V24 terminals connected via V24/IP adaptors.

4.5. Safety
The Call Server may be duplicated to overcome all malfunctions.
Furthermore, the public switched network can be used to backup IP links between the Call Server and
OmniPCX Media Gateways.
4.6. Voice mail and automated attendant
The 4645 application e-VA (enterprise Voice Application) is a voice mail which also encompasses au-
tomated attendant and ubiquity functions. This application can be installed on the same processor as
the Call Server, or work from a dedicated machine.
5. Software overview
