There are three main types of optical illusions: physiological, pathological, and cognitive. Physiological illusions involve brightness, color, location, dimension, and movement perceptions. Pathological illusions relate to sickness and disease. Cognitive illusions are ambiguous, distorting, paradox, or fictional illusions and involve perceptual organization, depth and motion perception, color and brightness constancies, object consistencies, and future perception. Optical illusions can be funny to find and understand.
