Technology is fun, sexy and attracts investment. Pedagogy is complex, cumbersome and few really understand it. mLearning is the latest technological initiative to enter education. With all other initiatives, gadgetry has preceded teaching and learning at all stages. For mLearning to succeed, both technology and pedagogy must be viewed as true partners in this process. If not, we will look back at mLearning as another example of how technology, yet again, failed to deliver.
