Photojournalism involves taking still images to document recent events accurately and make them relatable to viewers. A photojournalist functions as a visual reporter using photography instead of words. Landscape photography captures spaces in the world, both vast outdoor scenes as well as microscopic views, and can depict natural or man-made features. Portrait photography displays the expression, personality, and mood of its subject, usually their face but sometimes including more of their body or background. Motion photography involves recording rapidly moving objects and can result in apparent streaking or blurring in the images.

The SWWE Regional Network were very pleased to welcome Aalok Sonawala, Head of PMO, National Programmes, Rider Levett Bucknall on 26 February, to BAWA for our first face to face event of 2025. Aalok is a member of APMs Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APMs PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMOs within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

- 2. Genres Photojournalism-: Photojournalism: still images taken to record recently occurring events. An accurate representation of events. Images are made relatable to the viewer on a cultural level. A photojournalist is a reporter making stories using images instead of words. He/ she will be skilled at making creative decisions instantly and may encounter severe danger. (War, weather, crowds.) Landscape-:Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic.Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances oflandscapes. Portrait-:Portrait photography or portraiture is photography of a person or group of people that displays the expression, personality, and mood of the subject. Like other types ofportraiture, the focus of the photograph is usually the person's face, although the entire body and the background or context may be included. Motion Photography-:Motion blur is the apparent streaking of rapidly moving objects in a still image or a sequence of images such as a movie or animation. It results when the image being recorded changes during the recording of a single exposure, either due to rapidmovement or long exposure. Astrophotography-: the use of photography in astronomy.

Night photographers generally have a choice between using artificial light and using a long exposure, exposing the scene for seconds, minutes, and even hours in order to give the film or digital sensor enough time to capture a usable image.
