I would use it in my classroom to help my students understand the concept of fables. I would also use it in the writing process. I would do this by having them write a fable of their own using all of the steps in the writing process. When they were finished I would create a class book and put it in our class library. The GLEs for 5th and 6th grade require students to use the writing process. Consequently this piece of literature fits perfectly.
