GROUP 5 : Michaela, Milan, Adam & John
Plot of the film Nameless is a thriller based around the life of a secret drug dealer. After spending years drug trafficking he finds himself in a sticky situation when a deal goes wrong. The audience is taken on a journey , witnessing everything that he goes on in his life. What makes this thriller so intriguing is the fact that you would not expect the leading character to be associated with crime, He is a well educated business man.
The opening sequence The opening sequence basically shapes the entire movie. It will show a man staggering out of a lift with blood dripping from his shirt, then the title sequence will begin. Our opening represents the idea of ‘instant arousal’ we decided to do this to keep the audience immediately entertained, however we haven’t we wont give too much away, this will leave room for the audience to question what is next. The opening then will show titles and the audience will see three people answering their mobile phones. After having a conversation with an unknown caller , they all meet in an abandoned location. All three characters are unaware of why they have been called to this location , they are also unaware that they have all been called to the same location. After being directed by a bunch of signs placed on the wall they walk into a dark room to discover the person that called them.
Subgenre of ThrillerOur thriller film could be placed in a variety of subgenres : Action Thriller - Throughout the lead characters life he experiences a lot of drug battles, these scenes are full of fast paced action, weapons and violence. Psychologicalthriller – In the opening sequence of the movie all of the three characters experience emotional conflict with the unknown caller.Mystery thriller – the mystery of the movie is probably the opening of the movie, the audience will wonder Who shot him?, Who is the caller? And Who are these people being called to this isolated building? Crime thriller – Since our thriller evolves around the fact that the leading character is a drug dealer, it can be placed in the subgenre of crime.
