This portfolio contains photographs taken by Danielle Schaeffer on various journeys using a Nikon D-50 SLR camera with two Tamron lenses. The photos include images from an antique fire truck show in northern New Jersey from September 2009 and structures around Nantucket Island, Massachusetts from June 2009 that illustrate Danielle's interest in architectural genres. The portfolio aims to showcase how Danielle's self-taught photography skills through intensive study of her camera manual have paid off in capturing these images.
2. I have always loved photography, but it was not until my freshman year in college that I decided I was going to teach myself how to use my fathers digital single-lens reflex (SLR) camera. I read the entire manual and I learned everything about that camera inside and out. This portfolio shows how my hard work paid off and also gives a little insight into my interests.
3. This portfolio is a collection of photographs that I took in various destinations along some of my journeys. The camera used to take the photographs in this collection is a Nikon D-50 SLR. I used two different Tamron lenses; a 50-80mm and an 80-210mm, depending on what kind of shot I was looking for. All photographs are digital prints and some have been altered or digitally re-mastered using Photoshop.
4. The following set of photographs were taken in late early September of 2009 at an antique fire truck show at the fire department in my hometown in northern New Jersey.
8. The following set of pictures were taken on Nantucket Island off the coast of Massachusetts in June of 2009. I have vacationed on the island for as long as I can remember and have grown quite fond of its New England charm. Many of these photographs illustrate various buildings and structures on the island due to my passion and intrigue for different architectural genres.
