- 3. Project Description: Scope of the project is to mesh the standard Frame as per the weld criteria requirement of Caterpillar standards. FEA model was created with the hex-mesh, shell-mesh as well as the tetra mesh and embedding wherever required. G-load cases are prepared for LCF and HCF and stresses are compared with Endurance of the weld and parent material, Yield limits and modal analysis of the structure and studying the mode shapes of the first 10 modes. Scope of work is to perform the BJA meshing (cone of compression) for the 10 bolts of different diameter which supports the bracket attached to the hydraulic tank by creating the contacts between the bolt-head and washer as well as the abutments and applying the pretension at the shank region for probing the stress.
