- 9. About Mike Jancik Mike Jancik is the Founding Partner of Lakeshore Insights, a Toronto-based public interest policy and strategy consultancy. His recent work includes advising Ontario on the settlement and integration of refugees from the Syrian Crisis and helping a medium sized community to build a social-infrastructure development strategy. Prior to founding Lakeshore Insights, Mike served in a variety of senior political and public service roles including as Executive Director of Policy to Premier Kathleen Wynne and as Director of the Research, Evaluation and Capacity Building Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Education. Mike holds a degree in Philosophy and Political Science from McGill University.
