Quarterly GE Award - Telstra
1. Team
Reward and recognition is an important element of building a great culture and high performing
team. This can range from less formal means such as saying thanks for a job well done through
to our more formal company-wide reward and recognition programs.
Today, I am pleased to announce Sunil Narsinghani as the winner of the quarterly GE Award.
Sunil, a senior recruitment consultant based in Mumbai, India, demonstrates the collaborative
behaviours we want to see in all our people, especially in International, as we continue to grow
our presence outside of Australia. In addition to providing extended HR support and recruitment
activities, Sunil has helped analyse feedback from the Employee Engagement Survey and
assisted in the set up of three of our new offices in India. As part of this, he has exemplified better
together, as he has improved how we engage with new and existing employees, initiating the
creation of a local IT support desk and helping to organise celebratory festivals across offices in
India. Please join me in congratulating Sunil on his award.
Extreme and Excelerate
Last year Telstra launched an expanded program for recognising high performers across the
company – the Extreme and Excelerate programs.
This year, Excelerate will be held on the Gold Coast from 10-12 September. The award
recognises individuals who deliver excellence in customer service and demonstrate Telstra's
customer connected culture and values, whilst achieving positive business results.
The Extreme event for high achievers will be held in Tokyo from 27-31 October and is designed to
reward individuals who deliver a significant contribution to achieving the business unit’s objective,
demonstrate exceptional annual performance ratings and consistently role model the Telstra
values.
Anyone can be nominated for these programs. For sales individuals, their nomination will be
based on their sales performance. People in non-sales roles will be judged on their performance
over the year and I encourage all people leaders to nominate their star performers in support roles
now. Leaders can also nominate top performers who are outside their teams. Nominations close
13 June (Friday) with winners announced in early July.
Thanks again for your contributions to help us become a truly global company and I look forward
to receiving many nominations from across International.
Kind Regards,
Andy Penn
CFO and Group Executive, International
