- 2. SHIELDTECHNICAL PROPERTIES : Properties Unit Standard Values Surface Preparation APPLICATION INSTRUTIONS Bio-wash for killing fungus where necessary Roughen surfaces by wire brush manually. All surfaces must be clean and free from laitance, dust, dirt, oil and grease. Please check Moisture level and pH level in walls/roof/terrace/ceilings. The moisture levelshould be below 12% and pH should be in the range 7-9. Brush away loose contamination on the substrate to be coated. Mixing become softer andeasier to mix. Thoroughly mix the contents of containers using stirrer/mixer. Over-Mixing more than 5minutes may destroy particles, thereby reducing insulating capabilities. Thinning/Dilution of the material using water is not recommended. Stir the paint occasionally before each use. Turn pails upside down 8 hours prior to application. - 3. SHIELD PRODUCT APPLICATION : Coverage: 56 Sq.m / 20 kg / 100 mic / 2 coats The surface should be moist/water wash before application. However avoidpuddling/ponding of water. Apply first coat with brush on the cleaned and washed surface. Apply second coat after a gap of 1-2 Hours. After completion of full coating, it should be allowed to cure for 24 hrs. Drying time mayvary due to temperature / humidity and surface condition. Ensure that the coated area does not come in contact with water for atleast one hour. Apply with a quality brush, or roller. For best results, Apply when surface and ambient temperatures are above 13属C andbelow 32属C. After completion of full coating, it should be allowed to cure for 24 hrs. Drying time mayvary due to temperature / humidity and surface condition. APPLICATION EQUIPMENT : EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR SPRAY APPLICATION Application Equipments: Airless Sprayer: Brush: Listed below are the general equipment guidelines for the application of this product. Pump Ratio: 33:1 or larger Volume: 1.5 gpm (5.7 lpm) or greater Hose: 3/8" or larger with no more than 3' of 1/4" whip. 1/2" hose recommended for Length above 50'. Tip Size: 0.017" (for tight spots) 0.0190.023" (normal use) Pressure: Minimum of 3,000 PSI Small Spray Applications:Please consult Monarch for the Small Application Sprayer. It is excellent for small applications and touch-ups. Brushing is only recommended for touch-up of less than 0.5 ft2 (0.04 m2). Brushing can inhibit coating performance. Please consult Monarch for detailed brushing instructions. LIMITATIONS : Not recommended for immersion conditions. Not to apply the product below 15属C and above 40属C
