The team designed an inclination sensor to replace a magnetic pendulum sensor for a slipform paving machine. The team included Brad Bauer, Mohamud Jama, Tim Dirks, Abdiqani Sidow, and Komlavi Dagban-A, advised by Prof. John Sartori and industry mentor Rick Bergenheier. The design uses an accelerometer, analog filtering, a PIC24 microcontroller, and DAC to output inclination readings between 0-5V.
