Now on our 3rd year of implementing the South Central Regional Transportation Safety Plan Our coalition met last August 15 and November 21, 2013 SCRTSP Team Leaders met on July 22 and August 2 to update plans Formed new alliances with State Farm and Hahnville H.S. Participated in the Statewide SHSP Meetings in June & Oct. Houma-Thibodaux MPO received the AMPO Award 3 Accomplishments since May 2013
- 4. Accomplishments since May 2013 SCSCP / SCPDC received the National Roadway Safety Award 2013 for our proactive, data-driven Regional Safety Plan (SCRTSP) featured on the Noteworthy Practices Guide 2013 4 This years awardees
- 5. 5 Around 90% completed Alcohol-Related EA Implementation Status Summary
- 6. SHSP Grant proposal to purchase DWI BAT Mobile was approved Supported the Drive Sober Labor Day Mobilization Law Enforcement agencies held daily saturation patrols Implemented No Refusal Policy during 4th of July, Labor Day, and now ongoing for Holiday Enforcement Conducted the Data-Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety Workshop on June 26-28, 2013 (8 agencies participated) Continued support for St. John DAs conduct of DWI/Substance Abuse Classes in St. John Parish 9 classes completed Participated in Drug Recognition Expert Training last September (Troop C had an officer trained) Kicked off Troop Cs Zero for December Campaign, with a MADD Xmas Lighting Ceremony last Nov. 21 (ATC agent gave a little talk on underage drinking enforcement) 6 Alcohol-Related EA Completed/Ongoing / Future Projects

LE agencies doubled efforts for nighttime enforcement & dual DWI/seatbelt checkpoints during Click it or Ticket Memorial Week mobilization, National Passenger Safety Week and Thanksgiving Week Click it or Ticket was highly promoted on local newspapers and social media pages Conducted more CPS check events on May 29, June 22 and Oct. 12 (checked a total of at least 250 seats in 12 events including those at health units since January 2013). Close to 100 seats were replaced. Buckle Up Thanksgiving Campaign done in time for Zero for December Campaign Kickoff Partnered with LPSTF and State Farm for Saved by the Belt Program done during the Celebrate My Drive teen safety event in St. Charles Parish Planning for Seatbelt Incentive Program. Items like I Got Caught wearing my seat belt Shirts and Buckle Up pens will be distributed to belt users at school zone checkpoints 8 Biggest CPS event @ AMC Palace Theatre 142 seats checked, 50 replaced Occupant Protection EA Completed/Ongoing/ Future Projects

Marked the Teen Driver Safety Week via 2 events - (1) Teen Safety Photo & Video Contest Kickoff and (2) Celebrate My Drive both sponsored by State Farm Supported the Teen LA HEAT (Highway Endangerment Awareness Training) Program 150 participants Safety Town scenario was created School presentations , fatal vision goggle demos and DWI court lectures were conducted by LE agencies, MADD and ADAC 10 Young Drivers EA Completed / Ongoing / Future Projects

- 12. 12 Around 65% completed Infrastructure & Operations EA Implementation Status Summary Completed / Ongoing/ Future Projects Did the IO Plan Review on July 30, 2013 Met up with City of Thibodaux and Lafourche to review local road safety assessment results and projects Continued RSA Initiative and followed up on Local Road Safety Program efforts Roadway Mitigation on Curves is in substantial progress Location maps and data were provided to all 6 parishes Road Safety Field Review in Terrebonne set for December 18

Quarterly Meetings Updates on progress- Next Annual Review will be on February 20, 2014 Continuing Successful Projects and identifying new ideas Aggressive marketing and local media outreach via biweekly press releases and bimonthly newsletters Annual Summits and Expos More regional and local trainings Seeking out other funding to support programs 13 Continuing Towards Zero
