This presentation considers a unique subcultural form - the zine - and examines two Australian examples of zine collections, one informal collection at the Octapod, a community arts space in Newcastle, NSW, and another collection in the Rare Printed section of the State Library of Victoria. These two collections have emerged over the past decade as significant collections of zines in Australia. Both collections are also currently the subject of research projects being undertaken in library and information studies institutions in Australia; research which aims to add to the small but growing body of knowledge of the field from an Australian perspective.

Shan Robinson's presentation: My talk will feature some of the outreach and promotional projects undertaken by the Library and Archive Service at Bangor University. These projects and activities fulfil our commitment to providing quality outreach work which opens doors between the University and the community at large. In the past few years we have completed a number of new and novel projects which have been designed to showcase the collections and offer original context in which to present the collections to the public. This led to Bangor Library and Archive Service shortlisted for a prestigious Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award (THELMA) for their outreach and community engagement work in 2017. As well as bringing Town and Gown together, these projects also provide an opportunity for Bangor students to volunteer and win employability credits working alongside specialists form various agencies. From a University standpoint the aim is to encourage the public to be comfortable in the University setting and raise learning aspirations of individuals of all age.

The Archives working group of L’internationale is dedicated to the exchange, reflection, and discussion of their practices and challenges, as archivists, librarians and curators for contemporary art institutions. This publication presents a series of reflections on experiences from inside the archives related to L’Internationale. There is no universal view or a general analysis here, but a series of perspectives that are rooted in concrete practices developed in recent years. The publication examines some of the challenges facing archives today, while also highlighting how art archives are sites of contested agency. Instead of giving a normative and unequivocal view on what archives are and how they must work, Stories and Threads formulates questions on ownership, authority, recognition, access, distribution, and related topics that contribute to the collective efforts of the contributors to question and amplify the relevance of archives today, not least with view to their important role in producing our future.

The goal of the International Librarians Networking Program (ILNP) is to assist librarians from around the world to network and expand their skills in librarianship through a cooperative and collaborative program. The program is designed to be self guided, allowing participants to form a collaborative relationship with one another for four months and the opportunity to continue networking after the program ends. The International Librarians Networking Program is part of the American Library Association International Relations Round Table. The 2021 cohort comprised 62 people from 27 countries selected for pair networking. There had been 270 original applicants from 39 different countries. I was paired with Dr Win Shih, Director of Integrated Library Systems at the University of Southern California. The ILNP final project was to create an academic poster arising from the conversations during the four month period. We completed one on Diversity Equality Inclusion initiatives in UCC & USC.

This presentation explores the role of generative AI (GenAI) in enhancing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), using Felten’s five principles of good practice as a guiding framework. As educators within higher education institutions increasingly integrate GenAI into teaching and research, it is vital to consider how these tools can support scholarly inquiry into student learning, while remaining contextually grounded, methodologically rigorous, collaborative, and appropriately public. Through practical examples and case-based scenarios, the session demonstrates how generative GenAI can assist in analysing critical reflection of current practice, enhancing teaching approaches and learning materials, supporting SoTL research design, fostering student partnerships, and amplifying the reach of scholarly outputs. Attendees will gain insights into ethical considerations, opportunities, and limitations of GenAI in SoTL, as well as ideas for integrating GenAI tools into their own scholarly teaching practices. The session invites critical reflection and dialogue about the responsible use of GenAI to enhance teaching, learning, and scholarly impact.

In the Pharmacy profession there are many dangerous diseases from which the most dangerous is cancer. Here we study about the cancer as well as its treatment that is supportive to the students of semester VI of Bachelor of Pharmacy. Cancer is a disease of cells of characterized by Progressive, Persistent, Perverted (abnormal), Purposeless and uncontrolled Proliferation of tissues. There are many types of cancer that are harmful to the human body which are responsible to cause the disease condition. The position 7 of guanine residues in DNA is especially susceptible. Cyclophosphamide is a prodrug converted to the active metabolite aldophosphamide in the liver. Procarbazine is a weak MAO inhibitor; produces sedation and other CNS effects, and can interact with foods and drugs. Methotrexate is one of the most commonly used anticancer drugs. Methotrexate (MTX) is a folic acid antagonist. 6-MP and 6-TG are activated to their ribonucleotides, which inhibit purine ring biosynthesis and nucleotide inter conversion. Pyrimidine analogue used in antineoplastic, antifungal and anti psoriatic agents. 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is a pyrimidine analog. It is a complex diterpin taxane obtained from bark of the Western yew tree. Actinomycin D is obtained from the fungus of Streptomyces species. Gefitinib and Erlotinib inhibit epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase. Sunitinib inhibits multiple receptor tyrosine kinases like platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) Rituximab target antigen on the B cells causing lysis of these cells. Prednisolone is 4 times more potent than hydrocortisone, also more selective glucocorticoid, but fluid retention does occur with high doses. Estradiol is a major regulator of growth for the subset of breast cancers that express the estrogen receptor (ER, ESR1). Finasteride and dutasteride inhibit conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone in prostate (and other tissues), have palliative effect in advanced carcinoma prostate; occasionally used. Chemotherapy in most cancers (except curable cancers) is generally palliative and suppressive. Chemotherapy is just one of the modes in the treatment of cancer. Other modes like radiotherapy and surgery are also employed to ensure 'total cell kill'.

The recent technology of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has undeniable advantages, especially with regard to improving the efficiency of all stakeholders in the education process. At the same time, almost all responsible international organisations and experts in the field of education and educational technology point out a multitude of general ethical problems that need to be addressed. Many of these problems have already arisen in previous models of artificial intelligence or even in systems based on learning data, and several are appearing for the first time. In this short contribution, we will briefly review some dimensions of ethical problems, both (a) the general ones related to trust, transparency, privacy, personal data security, accountability, environmental responsibility, bias, power imbalance, etc., and (b) the more directly related to teaching, learning, and education, such as students' critical thinking, the social role of education, the development of teachers' professional competences, etc. In addition, the categorizations of possible service allocation to humans and AI tools, the human-centered approach to designing AI tools and learning data, as well as the more general design of ethics-aware applications and activities will be briefly presented. Finally, some short illustrative examples will be presented to set the basis for the debate in relation to ethical and other dilemmas.
