intelligence agency. Counterterrorism Threat Assessment and Warning Unit (CTAWU) functions as component of
International Terrorism Operations Section (ITOS) of Counterterrorism Division; formed to create threat assessments
for major domestic events and allocate warning messages to intelligence and law enforcement community.
  Intelligence Research Specialist, Headquarters, Washington DC (January 2001  February 2002)
  Member of CTAWU responsible for diverse array of assessments, briefings and communications; primarily
  included threat assessments for large domestic events using information (classified as warranted) collected by local
  FBI offices as well as open source information.
  Scope of responsibilities included classified threat briefings for director advanced teams (conducting pre-
  surveillance in advance of foreign travel); responses to congressional interrogatories; speeches for FBI personnel;
  congressional testimony for senior FBI executives (delivered before Senate Select Intelligence Committee and House
  Select Intelligence Committee); development, distribution and coordination of threat warnings to intelligence and

     Developed and led briefings providing insight into terrorism, Middle East, and terrorism investigations to state
      and local agencies.
     Participating member in first TOPOFF exercise on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Denver and
      Washington, DC.
