Counterterrorism Threat Assessment and Warning Unit (CTAWU) functions as component of International Terrorism Operations Section (ITOS) of Counterterrorism Division; formed to create threat assessments for major domestic events and allocate warning messages to intelligence and law enforcement community. Intelligence Research Specialist, Headquarters, Washington DC (January 2001 February 2002) Member of CTAWU responsible for diverse array of assessments, briefings and communications; primarily included threat assessments for large domestic events using information (classified as warranted) collected by local FBI offices as well as open source information.
