Counterterrorism Threat Assessment and Warning Unit (CTAWU) functions as component of International Terrorism Operations Section (ITOS) of Counterterrorism Division; formed to create threat assessments for major domestic events and allocate warning messages to intelligence and law enforcement community. Intelligence Research Specialist, Headquarters, Washington DC (January 2001 – February 2002) Member of CTAWU responsible for diverse array of assessments, briefings and communications; primarily included threat assessments for large domestic events using information (classified as warranted) collected by local FBI offices as well as open source information.
