By getting this certification, I was able to put the skills I had learned to the test and placed second in the state of West Virginia at the 2004 Skills USA/VICA Competition in Architectural Drafting. Also, I was able to test out of AutoCAD class at Bluefield State College with an A. I’m skilled in Google Sketch Up, Carlson Software, and a fast learner when it comes to software. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. Search legal records, survey records, and deed books in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed. Instrument Man – Setting up the TopCon GPS Base, and using a Leica Total Station to perform surveys. 05/13-Present Ceramic Technology, Inc. Designer/Detailer Cedar Bluff, VA Designer/Detailer – prepare sketches from field visits, materials take off and pricing, preparing drawings to manufacture mining related chutes, piping, etc., project manager, inspect finish product before shipment to customer, coordinate visits and shipments with customers.
