This document describes a novel technique for recanalizing the radial artery after late occlusion. The technique involves puncturing the deep palmar arterial arch as a distal entry point for retrograde recanalization of the radial artery. The technique was attempted in 22 patients with late radial artery occlusion, with a success rate of 90.1%. Only one complication occurred, a perforation of the radial artery. Preliminary results suggest the deep palmar arch provides good access for recanalization when the radial artery forearm segment is totally occluded or the stump is short. However, a learning curve is required to reliably use this new entry point.

?
The document discusses selecting appropriate cases for initial retrograde wiring procedures. It recommends starting with less complex cases by choosing ones where:
1) Retrograde access can be achieved through good collaterals like septal branches.
2) There are minimal complexity factors like heavy calcification, tortuosity or distal caps at bifurcations.
3) The operator has support from an experienced colleague, proctor or backup team in case of failure or complications.
The goal is to start simply and safely to learn retrograde techniques before progressing to more challenging cases.

?
1) The document describes a presentation on using intravascular imaging such as IVUS and OCT to guide antegrade dissection and re-entry (ADR) techniques during chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
2) Several case examples are shown where imaging helped select the re-entry zone, identify failed re-entry, and confirm successful re-entry. Imaging also helped decide whether or not to deploy stents and assess the final results by distinguishing dissection from disease.
3) The presentation concludes that intravascular imaging plays an important role in facilitating re-entry, assessing the need for stenting, and evaluating the results during CTO PCI procedures that use ADR techniques.
This document summarizes Masahisa Yamane's presentation on new guide wires for CTO procedures given at the Euro CTO Club workshop in Istanbul, Turkey in September 2015. He explained how imaging like CTA and IVUS can provide information but have limitations for CTO operators. Yamane concluded that the integration of imaging with new generation wires and microcatheters can simplify PCI steps and potentially further increase success rates for complex CTO cases.

A brain tumor is a growth of cells in the brain or near it. Brain tumors can happen in the brain tissue. Brain tumors also can happen near the brain tissue. Nearby locations include nerves, the pituitary gland, the pineal gland, and the membranes that cover the surface of the brain.
Brain tumors can begin in the brain. These are called primary brain tumors. Sometimes, cancer spreads to the brain from other parts of the body. These tumors are secondary brain tumors, also called metastatic brain tumors.
Many different types of primary brain tumors exist. Some brain tumors aren't cancerous. These are called noncancerous brain tumors or benign brain tumors. Noncancerous brain tumors may grow over time and press on the brain tissue. Other brain tumors are brain cancers, also called malignant brain tumors. Brain cancers may grow quickly. The cancer cells can invade and destroy the brain tissue.
Brain tumors range in size from very small to very large. Some brain tumors are found when they are very small because they cause symptoms that you notice right away. Other brain tumors grow very large before they're found. Some parts of the brain are less active than others. If a brain tumor starts in a part of the brain that's less active, it might not cause symptoms right away. The brain tumor size could become quite large before the tumor is detected.
Brain tumor treatment options depend on the type of brain tumor you have, as well as its size and location. Common treatments include surgery and radiation therapy.
