SUMMARY BACKGROUND
I was born in Poole, England in 1969 and following school completed an indentured apprenticeship as Marine
Fitter. I had a number of jobs in the Marine Industry before I immigrated to Western Australia in 1999.
I am a conscientious person and apply myself well in most situations. Getting the job done, on budget and
on time has always been my priority whilst maintaining the quality and standards required.
I am self-motivated and work well alone or can also work extremely well in a team environment. I also adapt
well to change and consider myself versatile to the requirements and environment around me.
I have never had an MTI or LTI and consider myself to have a strong work and safety ethic. I have a clean
police and driving history, I am also willing and able to travel for work appointments and placements with
minimal notice.

Started my own company name on a self-employed basis. Maintained a role with Bhagwan Marine on a
contract arrangement as required. Services provided have included technical assistance, warranty

Formulate and submit vessels warranty claims as according to build contract for Bhagwan Dryden. Arrange
rectification works to enable the vessel to fulfil all contracts to its full capability. Coordinate costs and invoices
for warranty claims and follow through on all payments. Address and action on technical queries and
breakdowns on the Bhagwan Dryden and a number of other vessels.

New Vessel Build Coordinator, Bhagwan Marine (Vietnam and Singapore) - July 2011 to August 2014
Oversee all facets of a new vessel build including input into the original build specification. Major duties are
to ensure the vessel meets or exceeds all relevant standards and qualities. Standards to be met are
conformance with Class, flag state, build specification and all other regulative bodies. The requirements for
this role include long hours and the ability to be aware of the shipyards quality, progress and intentions. A

Worked off-shore on 27M utility vessel. Vessel was on contract for 24 hr operations to Apache Energy
working on the North West Shelf of Australia. My time spent off-shore has given me a broad insight into the
practical requirements of a vessel from a user’s prospective as opposed to prior thoughts as a builder.
During my rostered time off, I oversaw new build vessels under construction in Vietnam for Dal Marine
Services.

Construction Manager, Strategic Marine (Vietnam) - January 2010 to July 2011
Originally started as Engineering Coordinator prior to the position of Construction Manager. My duties
included the coordination of all facets of the ships construction and conformance with the build specification.
My role was to ensure all parts, materials and information was available and accurate for all trades involved.
The scheduled planning and goal setting was part of my role and from this I could determine the required
manning levels to meet deadlines. Other tasks included procurement, drawing design/review, progress
meetings, client liaison and finding an acceptable balance between being on-board the vessel and in the
office.

One vessel was 70% complete on my arrival with no installations carried out on the 2nd
vessel. Duties
included the supervision of 40 local workers to install all engineering systems and associated piping followed
by commissioning and approval by ABS survey.

With a very limited time frame and a very keen but low experienced local work force, we delivered a vessel

Based in Henderson but spent the majority of my time under sub contract to Mermaid Marine or Offshore
Marine Services. During this time I was allocated a small team of contractors to complete all tasks required.
All works carried out at Mermaid Marine had strict time limits as the slipway was under high demand. Whilst
under contract to Mermaid Marine I was offered a permanent lead position. This was declined by myself
due to other circumstances.
