SUMMARY BACKGROUND
I was born in Poole, England in 1969 and following school completed an indentured apprenticeship as Marine
Fitter. I had a number of jobs in the Marine Industry before I immigrated to Western Australia in 1999.
I am a conscientious person and apply myself well in most situations. Getting the job done, on budget and
on time has always been my priority whilst maintaining the quality and standards required.
I am self-motivated and work well alone or can also work extremely well in a team environment. I also adapt
well to change and consider myself versatile to the requirements and environment around me.
I have never had an MTI or LTI and consider myself to have a strong work and safety ethic. I have a clean
police and driving history, I am also willing and able to travel for work appointments and placements with
minimal notice.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Trading as Task Marine Solutions, Contractor - August 2015 to present.
Started my own company name on a self-employed basis. Maintained a role with Bhagwan Marine on a
contract arrangement as required. Services provided have included technical assistance, warranty
negotiations, meetings with class for survey items, liaisons with shipyards/suppliers and condition reports
for prospective vessels. Other projects have included refits on a number of commercial fishing vessels.
Technical and Warranty Claims, Bhagwan Marine (Australia) - August 2014 to August 2015
Formulate and submit vessels warranty claims as according to build contract for Bhagwan Dryden. Arrange
rectification works to enable the vessel to fulfil all contracts to its full capability. Coordinate costs and invoices
for warranty claims and follow through on all payments. Address and action on technical queries and
breakdowns on the Bhagwan Dryden and a number of other vessels.
Achievements -
The Bhagwan Dryden has fulfilled all contracted obligations required to date.
Positive communication with crew, contractors and management ensured positive results.

New Vessel Build Coordinator, Bhagwan Marine (Vietnam and Singapore) - July 2011 to August 2014
Oversee all facets of a new vessel build including input into the original build specification. Major duties are
to ensure the vessel meets or exceeds all relevant standards and qualities. Standards to be met are
conformance with Class, flag state, build specification and all other regulative bodies. The requirements for
this role include long hours and the ability to be aware of the shipyards quality, progress and intentions. A
strong focus on the schedule and time management is paramount to ensure any slippages can be rectified
in a timely manner. As owners representative it is also prevalent to be well presented and behave in a
suitable manner that reflects well on your company. Awareness and consideration of other people’s beliefs
and customs is also an important factor in this role.

First of type Catamaran Air Diving Offshore Support Vessel
AB Seaman, Bhagwan Marine - November 2010 to July 2011
Worked off-shore on 27M utility vessel. Vessel was on contract for 24 hr operations to Apache Energy
working on the North West Shelf of Australia. My time spent off-shore has given me a broad insight into the
practical requirements of a vessel from a user’s prospective as opposed to prior thoughts as a builder.
During my rostered time off, I oversaw new build vessels under construction in Vietnam for Dal Marine
Services.

Construction Manager, Strategic Marine (Vietnam) - January 2010 to July 2011
Originally started as Engineering Coordinator prior to the position of Construction Manager. My duties
included the coordination of all facets of the ships construction and conformance with the build specification.
My role was to ensure all parts, materials and information was available and accurate for all trades involved.
The scheduled planning and goal setting was part of my role and from this I could determine the required
manning levels to meet deadlines. Other tasks included procurement, drawing design/review, progress
meetings, client liaison and finding an acceptable balance between being on-board the vessel and in the
office.

Achievements -

Engineering Coordinator, Strategic Marine (Mazatlan, Mexico) - September to December 2009
One vessel was 70% complete on my arrival with no installations carried out on the 2nd
vessel. Duties
included the supervision of 40 local workers to install all engineering systems and associated piping followed
by commissioning and approval by ABS survey.
Projects Completed -
2 x 50m Crew boats, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
Achievements -
With a very limited time frame and a very keen but low experienced local work force, we delivered a vessel
to a very high standard.
Communication issues was overcome with drawings and plans.

Commissioning Engineer, Strategic Marine (Australia) - August to September 2009
Based in the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, WA. My duties included design, installation and
commissioning of all mechanical installations and associated systems with approval by BV.

Achievements -
Due to a good work ethic and results in completing working systems I was approached to assist with the
companies overseas operations
Senior Engineer, West Point Engineering (Henderson, Australia) - October 2008 to August 2009
Worked on a permanent casual basis with a view to running the marine contracts.

Engineering Supervisor, Evolution Yachts (Henderson, Australia) - October 2007 to October 2008
I was employed as a Mechanical Marine Fitter and since advanced to Supervisor. My duties have been a
hands-on approach to design and installation of all marine systems; including propulsion, generation,
desalination/RO, compressed air, fuel, hydraulics, bilge, fire mains, sprinkler system, deck drains, air
conditioning, domestic systems and all associated pipework as well as commissioning and testing. I
supervised a team of 20 whilst also being responsible for scheduling, quality assurance and ordering of
parts.

Mechanical Fitter, Westralian Engineering (Henderson, Australia) - May to October 2007
Based in Henderson but spent the majority of my time under sub contract to Mermaid Marine or Offshore
Marine Services. During this time I was allocated a small team of contractors to complete all tasks required.
All works carried out at Mermaid Marine had strict time limits as the slipway was under high demand. Whilst
under contract to Mermaid Marine I was offered a permanent lead position. This was declined by myself
due to other circumstances.

My duties were to represent the Company on a face to face basis with Customers; selling a quality product
with an after-sales backup service. I also quoted and invoiced for sales and projects. After a short time
period I was involved in most aspects of running the sales component including procurement, purchasing
and dealing with Customers and Suppliers Accounts.

Marine and Mechanical Fitter for Image Marine, Henderson. My duties have been wide, ranging from
installation of Main Engines and stern gear to design and installation of all marine components and
associated systems. Whilst there, I was promoted to Leading Hand of up to 30 personnel which entailed
work management, guidance, training and quality control, all with strict deadlines. I also supervised
Contractors work and I dealt direct with the Customers and their requirements.

Marine Engineer, Self Employed (Poole, UK) - April 1998 to September 1999
I was based at Cobbs Quay Marina in Poole, Dorset on a self-employed basis. A large amount of my work
was on a sub-contract basis for Purbeck Marine Engineers. The major type of work was servicing, repair
and overhaul of main engines and propulsion equipment. My customer base was mainly private craft owners
and the local fishing fleet.

Metal Detail Fitter, Marden Edwards (Poole, UK) - August 1990 to March 1997
The Company design and build over wrapping machines for the packing industry. I initially was employed
as a metal detail fitter custom making the change over parts for the machines. I then advanced to building
the conveyor systems before running my own Pneumatic department.

Custom finished motor yachts completed to customer’s specification. Full installation of ships systems with
trials and testing prior to handover.

Chief Engineer, Lady May of Glandore (San Remo, Italy) - April to August 1989
Employed as a Chief on 32M Charter Yacht. Responsible for the day to day running of all operating systems
on-board. The vessel completed all charters during my time without incident.

Marine Fitter, Apprentice, Purbeck Marine Engineers (Poole, UK) - 1985 to 1989
Work consisted of maintenance, general overhaul, fault finding and repair of inboard marine engines and
stern gear. I also carried out service, repair and refit of all other marine systems on-board. Majority of work
was carried out on private, commercial and fishing vessels situated on the South Coast of England.
I served a fully Indentured Apprenticeship attending Poole College on Day Release basis for one year before
attending Southampton Technical College for a further three years.

SUMMARY BACKGROUND I was born in Poole, England in 1969 and following school completed an indentured apprenticeship as Marine Fitter. I had a number of jobs in the Marine Industry before I immigrated to Western Australia in 1999. I am a conscientious person and apply myself well in most situations. Maintained a role with Bhagwan Marine on a contract arrangement as required.   • 3. 3 New Vessel Build Coordinator, Bhagwan Marine (Vietnam and Singapore) - July 2011 to August 2014 Oversee all facets of a new vessel build including input into the original build specification. Major duties are to ensure the vessel meets or exceeds all relevant standards and qualities. Standards to be met are conformance with Class, flag state, build specification and all other regulative bodies. The requirements for this role include long hours and the ability to be aware of the shipyards quality, progress and intentions. A strong focus on the schedule and time management is paramount to ensure any slippages can be rectified in a timely manner. As owners representative it is also prevalent to be well presented and behave in a suitable manner that reflects well on your company. Awareness and consideration of other people’s beliefs and customs is also an important factor in this role. Vessel was on contract for 24 hr operations to Apache Energy working on the North West Shelf of Australia. My time spent off-shore has given me a broad insight into the practical requirements of a vessel from a user’s prospective as opposed to prior thoughts as a builder. During my rostered time off, I oversaw new build vessels under construction in Vietnam for Dal Marine Services.
  • 4. 4 Construction Manager, Strategic Marine (Vietnam) - January 2010 to July 2011 Originally started as Engineering Coordinator prior to the position of Construction Manager. My duties included the coordination of all facets of the ships construction and conformance with the build specification. My role was to ensure all parts, materials and information was available and accurate for all trades involved. The scheduled planning and goal setting was part of my role and from this I could determine the required manning levels to meet deadlines. Other tasks included procurement, drawing design/review, progress meetings, client liaison and finding an acceptable balance between being on-board the vessel and in the office. Projects Completed - 24M Voith Tractor Tug, Port of Napier, New Zealand 48M Landing Craft, Bhagwan Marine, Australia Achievements - Promotion to Construction Manager. Gained the respect of the workers, management and clients. Feel as though I played a crucial part in the successful hand-over of these projects. Gained valuable knowledge on how to succeed in Asian shipyards. Engineering Coordinator, Strategic Marine (Mazatlan, Mexico) - September to December 2009 One vessel was 70% complete on my arrival with no installations carried out on the 2nd vessel. Duties included the supervision of 40 local workers to install all engineering systems and associated piping followed by commissioning and approval by ABS survey. Projects Completed - 2 x 50m Crew boats, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex). Achievements - With a very limited time frame and a very keen but low experienced local work force, we delivered a vessel to a very high standard. Communication issues was overcome with drawings and plans.
  • 5. 5 Commissioning Engineer, Strategic Marine (Australia) - August to September 2009 Based in the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, WA. My duties included design, installation and commissioning of all mechanical installations and associated systems with approval by BV. Projects Completed - 102M Self Propelled Floating Dock, Australian Marine Complex Achievements - Due to a good work ethic and results in completing working systems I was approached to assist with the companies overseas operations Senior Engineer, West Point Engineering (Henderson, Australia) - October 2008 to August 2009 Worked on a permanent casual basis with a view to running the marine contracts. I supervised a team of 20 whilst also being responsible for scheduling, quality assurance and ordering of parts.   • 6. 6 Mechanical Fitter, Westralian Engineering (Henderson, Australia) - May to October 2007 Based in Henderson but spent the majority of my time under sub contract to Mermaid Marine or Offshore Marine Services. During this time I was allocated a small team of contractors to complete all tasks required. All works carried out at Mermaid Marine had strict time limits as the slipway was under high demand. Whilst under contract to Mermaid Marine I was offered a permanent lead position. This was declined by myself due to other circumstances. A large amount of my work was on a sub-contract basis for Purbeck Marine Engineers. The major type of work was servicing, repair and overhaul of main engines and propulsion equipment. I initially was employed as a metal detail fitter custom making the change over parts for the machines. I then advanced to building the conveyor systems before running my own Pneumatic department. Achievements - Applying myself into a new job description Marine Engineer, Sunseeker Powerboats (Poole, UK) - August 1989 to August 1990 Custom finished motor yachts completed to customer’s specification. Full installation of ships systems with trials and testing prior to handover. Achievements - Fulfilled all tasks expected of me. Chief Engineer, Lady May of Glandore (San Remo, Italy) - April to August 1989 Employed as a Chief on 32M Charter Yacht. Responsible for the day to day running of all operating systems on-board. The vessel completed all charters during my time without incident. Achievements - Kept the vessels equipment fully functional at all times Marine Fitter, Apprentice, Purbeck Marine Engineers (Poole, UK) - 1985 to 1989 Work consisted of maintenance, general overhaul, fault finding and repair of inboard marine engines and stern gear.
