4G Networks:
 Improvement of scanner KPI like SINR, percentage on LTE, RSRP, RSRQ and mobile
KPI for 5 devices designated each for Long call DL & UL, Short call and CSFB MO & MT.
 Giving recommendations to improve Retain ability for Long Call, accessibility and mobility
for short call and redirected failures for CSFB calls.
 Involved mainly in recommending changes for RET, azimuth and new site proposal to
improve KPI.
 Recommendations for clearing pilot polluted areas and increase single server locations in
order to improve throughput affected areas due to low SINR caused by pollution.
 Mobility analysis that includes IRAT and inter-frequency HO attempts and failures.
 Pilot pollution and Missing neighbors’ statistics with recommendation to avoid issues.
 Reasons for bad KPI (CSSR, DCR etc) and recommendations to improve the same.
 Preparation of monthly benchmark report with comparative study of all the KPI’s for three
operators.
3G Networks:
 Support for 3G cluster initial tuning process.

 Load sharing candidate parameter for handover between frequency 1&2.
 Log file analysis with Actix tool and detailed analysis for call drop, blocked call, Handover
failure, overshooting cells, PSC clash, Swap identification between two sectors and send
all the recommendation to end customer.
 Inconsistency Check for newly integrated cells for 2G/3G with the help of Pre and post
Dump.
2G Networks:
 Cluster monitoring and analysis for RF performance, preparing Cluster Acceptance
Report and get the cluster accepted by meeting the KPIs thresholds/ Customer
requirements.
 Checking Alarms on RF Network Equipment’s/ Power outages/ loose connections/
Hardware faults through MRR report and reporting the issue to the concern for resolution.
 Checking pre/post Traffic trend after the site/ cluster is successfully swapped/ integrated.
 Checking HO Report Analysis and analyzing HO due to High/Low Signal Strength,
thereby tuning parameters to improve the HO performance of the cell.

 Checking Drop Call Reasons and taking adequate steps for improving TDC kpis (Dense
Urban/ Rural Macro sites and Indoor micro site )
 Monitoring CSSR for Voice and Data and setting parameter values as per the traffic load/
location.
 Parameter Tuning for poor Handover Power Budget KPIs
 BER Downlink degradation resolution by performing Traffic balancing and reducing/
increasing traffic as per the required threshold.

Projects Undertaken:
1. Project Name: WIN 3
Overview: The project aim was to expand the capacity and coverage of the Existing network by
proposing, planning and validating the BTS sites by Field survey. Total of 1200+ sites were
proposed under the scope.
Role: Proposed and selected more than 75 sites under this scope.
Managing the installation and commissioning activity to radiate the sites in Specified time limit.
2. Project Name: WIN 4
Overview: This project is aimed at providing GSM (1900 MHz Band) services in parallel to CDMA
services all over the country.
Role: Planned and proposed more than 100 sites under construction scope.
Optimization of CDMA network:
 Conducting Drive Tests using Agilent E6474A Drive test kit to collect logs of RF
Parameters like Mobile Receive Power (Rx), Mobile Transmit Power (Mtx), Pilot Power
(Ec/Io), Frame Error rate (FER) and Layer 3 messages.
 Performance Observation by monitoring parameters like Call Set up Success Rate (CSSR),
Drop Call Rate, Handoff Failure Rate, RF Utilization, Secondary Traffic Percentage etc.
 Processing and Analysis of Drive Test log files using tools like Nitro 9.1 and 9.3, Actix 3.0,
MapInfo 7.5 and 8.5.
 Call Drop Analysis of the network using Layer 3 messages and proposing the solution.
NOTE: we were migrated from Reliance communication to Alcatel Lucent on 1st
October 2008.
