RMA QA AERATORS & MIXING
UNITS
MICRO-BUBBLE GENERATOR
HEADS
INDUSTRIAL FLOATING
VERSION
• Highly efficient dissolved oxygen transfer device
• Highly efficient macro-, micro- and nano-bubble generation
• Strong water circulation and disinfection
RMA QA
Microbubble generator and mixer N.B. picture shows cut off water outlets for demonstration
only, in practice they extend below the water surface
RMA QA in operation at Queensland testing
facility with 22km/h water injection
velocity driving water circulation in an
aeration tank.
Aggregation of fine particles (fat, grease,
oil and solids) on the surface of a river in
China
Simple stainless steel frame supported in
water by long-life, marine grade buoys,
resistant to bio-fouling and UV and will
float if shot at.
Reparator’s microbubble generator
stainless steel heads produces a
macro- and micro-bubble cloud
Micro-bubbles collapse into nano-
bubbles and are stored in the water
for up to 6 months
Sulzer submersible pump with
Contrablock impeller for improved
rag handling and blockage
resistance
Up to 100,000 hour bearing life
Stainless steel
protective screen mesh
At least 700 mm clearance
RMA QA ppt product information
Features
• Highly efficient with SOTR of 5 kg O2 / kWh
and low energy consumption
• Creation of a bank of stored air nanobubbles
that amplifies the growth of microbial
populations which breakdown organic matter
• Water is injected at 22 km/h and strongly
circulated horizontally and vertically as a
macrobubble (>1mm) and microbubble (1 – 100
micron) cloud for destratification
• Macrobubbles coalesce and rise rapidly to
breakup biomass and increase the digestible
surface area.
Reparator generators filling a tank with microbubbles at a
testing facility
• Microbubbles appear as a milky white solution
(pictured left) and the increase in turbidity coupled
with adequate water mixing create an environment
resistant to algal blooms
• Microbubbles increase in negative zeta potential
(electrical charge) as they shrink with decreasing
levels of dissolved oxygen in water due to adsorbed
hydroxyl ions
• The strong negative surface charge of microbubbles
allow them to adsorb to pollutants and neutralise
their charge, causing coagulation and flocculation
of suspended solids, fats, oils, grease and other
chemicals
• Microbubbles rise very slowly at 20 cm/h and
possess a large interfacial area which both
contribute to large oxygen dissolution
• When microbubbles collapse they generate nanobubbles
which stay suspended in the water due to their low
buoyancy and disperse throughout the entire waterbody
through Brownian motion
• Nanobubbles implode with high pressure and temperature
(over 3,000 degrees C) to rupture the cell walls of any
adsorbed pathogens and easily dissolve oxygen into water
• The implosion process increases the oxidation potential
by up to 200 mV which oxidises dissolved chemicals,
transitional and heavy metals (Iron, Manganese, Calcium
and others)
• The nanobubble collapse generates OH- and O- free
radicals as well as hydrogen peroxide to sterilise the
water
