RTI auditioned for X Factor in 2008 but were not yet signed. 3LW were popular in the 2000s under the name "3 Little Women" but their songs were deemed to not be entertaining enough for the intended video. Neither group's music motivated the researchers or had tones that would make for an engaging video.

- 6. They were mainly around in 2000 onwards and were known as ‘3 Little Women’.
- 7. Again, we thought that as a girl group representing and resembling their target audience, we would be able reproduce a video effectively to one of their songs.
- 8. However, when it came down to choosing a song, as a group, we believed that the lyrics and the tone of the songs would have led us to make a video which was not that entertaining.
