Raw Material & Bought out Purchase:
 Buyer for Raw material and Bought out parts for Transmission Chain products.
 Handling 120 Raw material parts and 40 Bought out parts covering commodities like Cold rolled steel,
Cold rolled coils, Cold forged parts and Machined parts
 Receive monthly schedule from MRP and plan the Supplier schedules based on available stock and lead
time
 Based on the requirement create Purchase requisition and release PO
 Visit critical Suppliers for follow-up and getting commitments
 Co-ordinate with Supplier and Transporter to ensure on time receipt of required production materials.
 To work closely with Production planning team to meet monthly production targets.

Import procurement:
 Responsible for PR, PO raising and material follow up for Import purchase.
 Custom clearance through Freight forwarders
 Raising PO based on the monthly average consumption to avoid nil stock due to high lead time.
 Maintaining Minimum stock for import materials.
Other responsibilities:
 Scrap invoicing – Price updating, invoice raising
 Rejection invoicing – CEX invoice, NEX invoice.
 Purchase requisition creation & PO release for Consumable goods purchase.
 Responsible for Purchase Master data updation of all parts in SAP
Key contributions:
 Created a tracker for improving Raw material visibility in the beginning of the month enabling proper
schedule forecast to Suppliers.
 Streamlined Raw material scheduling by incorporating Lead time in MRP - Resulted in improved
delivery adherence to production.

Project (MBA) :
Generated savings to the tune of 6 MN a year, by eliminating Bonded ware house and improving the scheduling
pattern for Import parts in Rane (Madras) Ltd., Chennai – A leading Auto component manufacturing company.
