X. Garneau Technical school of architecture CAREER Joseph Skaff started his career as an architect in Montreal when he was employed by Boutros+Pratte in 1985. He then teamed in 1987 with three partners to create Averna Fafard Parizeau Skaff which became later Averna Parizeau Skaff until 1995. He then established an office in Beirut and worked as an independent architect from 1995 until 2001, the year when he returned to Quebec and joined his efforts to Lemay+MMA where he served as a senior architect and project manager. 2011 to 2014 Mcgill University Health Center1 . 1,400M This mega project of 300,000 m2 includes 5 hospitals and a research centre on a 43 acres land 4 kilometers west of downtown Montreal. Joseph Skaff served as member of the design team and was responsible of the design of the exterior facades, making extensive use of both Revit and SketchUp 3D platforms. He also was the lead architect for developing and monitoring all of exterior and interior finishing details. He designed major architectural features such as balustrades, stairs, entrance canopies, floor patterns, decorative glass divisions, exterior signage monuments and more. Furthermore, he participated in 11 committees and provided guidance in chosing artists in the scope of Quebec Program of Arts Integration to Architecture.
