Illinois on iTunes U A 3-minute CITES Update

iTunes U is.... an area in the Apple iTunes Store that is devoted entirely to education. free and easy to use. designed and managed by Illinois (“Illinois on iTunes U”). hosted by Apple.

Where We Are LAS is piloting iTunes U with the Writing With Video classes on separate instance. Currently working on transferring the pilot to a centrally-provided service for the campus. Phase I: August 2007 - December 2007 Authentication/Authorization - using AD credentials (in progress) iTunes U Working Group discussing structure for public face and policies for distributed administration and support. (in progress) FAA volunteered to design interface. (will start in November 2007)

2008 January 2008: Writing with Video courses migrate to new production instance. Spring semester: Pilot selected uses, including Public Affairs, Extension, more courses Fall 2008: iTunes U online for production service Roll out iTunes U Community (supporting iTunes U)
