Role of Nurses in UK General PracticesoftganzNurses play several important roles in UK general practice and primary care. Practice nurses work as part of primary healthcare teams, providing treatment, disease prevention, health screening, and patient education. Their responsibilities include managing chronic disease clinics, wound care, immunizations, and monitoring patients on medications like Warfarin. Community nurses such as district nurses, health visitors, and school nurses focus on promoting good health and preventing illness in home and school settings through patient visits and education. Overall, nurses are integral to supporting patients' healthcare needs across various general practice and community-based settings in the UK.
