Listening to children is important for communication and development. Parents should make time to listen to their children, whether through daily conversations, reading together, or setting aside special listening times. Effective listening involves making eye contact, reflecting back what the child said to confirm understanding, and responding supportively without criticism. It is also important to respect the child's privacy and views. Seeking help from organizations can support parents struggling to communicate with their children.
This document provides a guide to various songbooks and hymnbooks that can be used for collective worship in primary schools. It lists numerous resources separated into categories such as "core books," "enhancement books," "seasonal books," and books from different publishers. It describes the contents, intended age ranges, and related supplemental materials for many of the listed resources. The guide aims to help increase schools' collections and introduce new material for collective worship.
This document discusses big data and SQL technologies. It provides an overview of Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and data warehousing technologies like Amazon Redshift. It also includes sample HiveQL queries to demonstrate how to analyze log data and Wikipedia edit histories stored in HDFS. The document aims to introduce SQL professionals to working with large datasets using these big data tools and cloud services.
The document discusses images taken by the Hubble telescope and other space instruments that provide perspective on Earth's small size in the vast universe. It shares photos of galaxies, nebulae, planets, and other celestial objects located thousands to millions of light years away. The document ends by showing an image taken by the Cassini probe of the Earth as a small blue dot from Saturn's rings, emphasizing how small and fragile our planet is.
As part of the final course for Exec MBA am surveying my team on the model attached. Excited to see the results and develop action plan for improvement.
This document discusses using modern technology tools like blogs, webinars, and online registration to build a state Out of School Time Military Kids (OMK) program. It provides examples of how blogs can be used for regular program updates, links, and photo/video updates from camps. Webinars allow groups to come together virtually through platforms like Elluminate, and can include welcome screens, timers, slides, polls and evaluations. Online registration through Eventbrite streamlines registration, payment, data collection, reporting and email invitations for events.
This document summarizes a presentation on a Stata module called "parallel" for parallel computing. It discusses the motivation for parallel computing given large administrative datasets and powerful computers. It describes how parallel works by splitting datasets and tasks across computer clusters to accelerate computations. Benchmarks show parallel processing provides near-linear speedups on tasks like Monte Carlo simulations and reshaping large databases. The syntax and usage focuses on applications well-suited for parallel like simulations and loops, while noting commands like regressions may not benefit as much.
This document discusses issues around admitting baptized children to Holy Communion before confirmation in the Church of England. It provides a brief history of how current practices developed, outlines steps a parish can take to implement the bishop's guidelines on the issue, and addresses common questions from congregations. The document emphasizes that baptism, not confirmation, is what makes one part of the church body and thus able to participate fully in the Eucharist. It argues that excluding baptized children denies them an important part of community life in the church.

Abbiamo bisogno di individuare un paradigma in grado di analizzare ed interpretare i fenomeni del nostro tempo: citt¨¤, comunit¨¤, apprendimento, relazioni sociali, associazionismo, ...
This study investigated how the brain distinguishes helpful vs ambiguous spatial information during wayfinding. Participants learned routes in a virtual maze containing objects. fMRI was used to measure brain activity when recognizing objects from decision points vs non-decision points. Results showed increased activity in the parahippocampal gyrus for objects from decision points, reflecting automatic processing of navigationally relevant information. Activity in the middle frontal gyrus was higher for objects from different decision points, related to monitoring spatial working memory.
