Established in 2008, Strategic Analysis Enterprises specializes in social science theory, semantics, natural language processing, political conflict analysis, and software engineering, among other areas. The company’s goal is to help government agencies and commercial clients make informed decisions based on statistical models that have the ability to predict such behaviors as violence and rebellion.

As the prime contractor on a project for the subregional modeling of instability at the regional level, the company is building a system that can geographically locate events with the potential to create unstable conditions, like violence. The project provides military planners and operators greater insight into dynamic situations so they can better allocate resources for containment.

Another project, an extension of the Integrated Crisis Early Warning System, is a worldwide model for refining instability forecasting to improve accuracy, operational utility, and transparency. In doing so, the enterprise will offer an even more reliable forecast of upheaval and violence around the world.
