6. Knife Skills!!!
I am working with a
Santoku knife.
Santoku is Japanese
meaning three virtues,
and its wide range of uses
include chopping, dicing
and mincing.
The ridges along the blade
create small pockets of air
while chopping, which
prevents food from sticking
to the knife.
9. Pinch knife spine with thumb and forefinger,
then wrap remaining fingers around the handle.
11. Curl the fingers of your other hand, and place the
blade against your knuckles. Prepare to impress your
family and friends!
12. Chop the hulls off of your strawberries and then
proceed to dice them. This can also easily be
done with a paring knife.
13. Product Shout-out!
On the table we have an adorable prep
bowl (with lid), and you receive two for
free with a $60 purchase!
Moving over youll see our medium sized
cutting board with non-skid silicone
edges. No chasing your cutting board
around on the counter top any more!
The edges have ruler markings, for
perfectly sized slices, if you so desire.
Lastly, the classic batter bowl with lid.
This serves as a measuring cup, storage
bowl, cooking bowl and mixing bowl. It is
microwave safe and oven safe. Bake a
cake in it, turn it upside down and you
have a perfectly shaped cake to make a
doll skirt! (Go to any craft store and buy
the top half of a Barbie on a stick and
your cake is complete!)
All of these items are dishwasher safe!
14. If chopping, slicing
and dicing are just
too much trouble
for you, use our
manual food
processor instead!
Perfect for making
salsa, smoothies,
baby food,
hummus, and any
number of other
things.
