1. Women's Diversity Initiative
Welcome to the Major Projects Women's Diversity Initiative Core page!
MP Woman in the Spotlight!
MP Womens Diversity Initiative presents Adriana Zuniga, as the MP Woman in the spotlight!
Adriana was nominated by Liana Gilmour, Student Co-op-Quality Management:
Adriana deserves to be recognized for the significant contributions she has made
to her team throughout her tenure here at Suncor. Adriana is the type who, when
given any task, is sure to get the job done in an efficient and timely matter. She
works subtly and quietly, and takes on tasks that are far outside her scope of
work; always getting the work done without making a big deal about her
accomplishments. She has been an exemplary role model and support for women
within the team. She takes the time to provide feedback and is always there to
extend her assistance wherever it is needed. Furthermore, Adrianas positive
attitude and perseverance makes her a pleasure to work with. I am very grateful
that I have had the opportunity to work with her.
Quality is Adrianas passion, "do it right" is part of her values and daily life.
Adriana says I believe that is important to identify your values with the company
values, in that way you can perform, grow and add value to the process that
you're involved with.
I just want to thanks to the MP Woman's Diversity Initiative, for this opportunity
and to close I will use a quote from Mr. W. Edwards Deming, who is known as the
Japanese post-war economic miracle: It is not enough to do your best; you must
know what to do, and then do your best
Adriana Zuniga joined Suncor and Project Services (PS), Quality department just
over three years as Engineering Quality Auditor and quickly her position changed
to Supplier Quality Auditor. Adriana is a Mechanical engineer by trade and a
Quality professional for more than 15 years. She has performed
Supplier/Contractor Quality Audits for the last 7 years, since she came to Canada
from Venezuela. Her role as a Quality Auditor has taken her places she never
thought she would visit, traveling to different countries to perform this unique job
of qualifying suppliers/contractors.
