This document proposes a study to determine if the effectiveness of project-based learning (PBL) depends on context or individual traits. The study would have students learn two concepts - EEG data analysis and neuroanatomy - using either PBL or traditional methods. Students' attention, intelligence and motivation would be measured before learning. Performance would then be assessed on a follow-up quiz involving interpreting EEG and lesion study data, to see if PBL leads to better outcomes for certain topics or types of students.
